Yan Baba burst into laughter instantly. "No, no, no, Brother Qi, it’s not that she’s not in the same world as us; it’s that she’s not even on the same frequency as us."

Lei Xingxing added, "She was never on the same frequency as us to begin with."

"As if you lot know anything!" Ye Wuqi laughed, pretending to swipe at Yan Baba and Lei Xingxing. Both of them scrambled to hide behind Qian Xiaoxing.

Qian Xiaoxing just pursed his lips and smiled, watching the three of them horse around.

Ye Luo withdrew her gaze and asked Ye Wuqi expressionlessly, "Are we going back to the classroom?"

The break for morning exercises was already over, and class was about to begin. As soon as she finished speaking, the bell for the third period rang.

The onlookers quickly dispersed, hurrying back to their respective classrooms. The morning exercises had been disrupted today and could be skipped, but class was a different matter.

Gong Ran was not snapped out of her stupor by the bell. Seeing Ye Luo turn to leave with Ye Wuqi and the others, she regained her senses and blocked Ye Luo’s path. Other people report things only when they have evidence; you reported it wildly without any proof, blinded by your own arrogance! You even wanted the whole world to know! With an attitude like that, no good university would dare take you! You deserve it!"

Lei Xingxing added, "Baba, don't bother with her. I think there’s something wrong with her brain. She brought this on herself, yet she keeps looking for excuses, blaming this and that, never once blaming herself."

Ye Wuqi didn't say a word; he just wanted to step forward and beat Gong Ran up. However, Qian Xiaoxing held him back. Knowing that Qian Xiaoxing had a heart condition, Ye Wuqi kept it in mind and didn't struggle, terrified that any agitation might trigger a heart attack.

Qian Xiaoxing said to Gong Ran in a relatively gentle tone, "You’d better go. You just received a major demerit; I’m sure you don't want your face beaten into a pulp, either."

Seeing that Ye Wuqi genuinely intended to hit her and realizing the principal and the others had left, Gong Ran knew that if Qian Xiaoxing couldn't hold him back, she would be the one getting beaten.

Before Ye Luo could respond, Yan Baba laughed and said to Ye Wuqi, "Brother Qi, Sister Luo got the top score in the grade this time, and she put on such a show—it was just too cool! Let's hire a lion dance troupe tomorrow to celebrate at school! It’ll be festive and lively!"
