Chapter 155: I Truly Admire You!
Inside the red convertible, Qin Zhaoyu gripped the steering wheel, his temper flaring as he snapped impatiently over his shoulder, “Haven’t you all eaten? Put some muscle into it! Don’t you see the car isn’t even budging?”
“Damn!” Yan Baba exploded. “It was clearly inside just now. If it hadn’t moved, how did it get out into the aisle?”
Ye Wuqi was equally frustrated. “Zhaoyu, didn’t you just get your driver’s license? What’s the point of me coming in here to push? Don’t tell me your license is fake!”
“Of course it’s real! I swear it’s real!”
“Then what are you doing?” Ye Wuqi immediately stopped pushing and stood there demanding answers from Qin Zhaoyu.
With one less person pushing, the car came to a complete standstill instantly. Qin Zhaoyu, anxious, forced a smile to calm them. “Qi, Qi, I really do have a license. The thing is, I’m still a rookie. Plus, this aisle is narrow, and there are so many luxury cars parked around. Those cars are worth a fortune. If I accidentally scratch one, selling myself a hundred times over wouldn’t cover the damage!”
With palms pressed together, he begged, “Please, please, just help me push the car out with Baba and the others.”
“Unbelievable! Why didn’t you just pick the car closest to the garage door then?” Ye Wuqi grumbled, but bent down, placed his hands on the car, and pushed with renewed effort.
Slowly, the car began to inch forward.
“I just like this one better! Not only is it red, but it’s a convertible—way cooler!” Qin Zhaoyu had his reasons. He muttered, “If only it came in rainbow colors... too bad.”
Ye Wuqi ignored him and spotted Ye Luo and Gong Lü standing at the garage entrance. He immediately raised his hand and waved, “Sister Luo, President Gong, come over here! Hurry up!”
Clearly, he wanted them to help push as well.
Gong Lü didn’t move.
Ye Luo didn’t move either.
But the villa’s driver, Uncle Tan, hurried over and skillfully drove the convertible out of the garage.
The villa’s courtyard was spacious, and the roads were clear—there was no need to drive out just to turn the car around. As soon as Uncle Tan pulled the car out, Qin Zhaoyu grew eager to get a feel for the car, asked him to get out, and returned to the driver’s seat to take control of the steering wheel.
Ye Wuqi and the others thought they were finally going for a spin and quickly climbed into the convertible. Ye Wuqi took the front passenger seat, while Yan Baba, Lei Xingxing, and Qin Zhaowen squeezed into the back. Everyone was buzzing with excitement.
Gong Lü and Ye Luo simply stood by the roadside watching.
“All right, I’m starting!” Qin Zhaoyu sat upright, hands gripping the wheel, ready to show off his skills.
Inside the car, Ye Wuqi and the others grew even more excited. Except for Qin Zhaowen, everyone raised a fist and shouted toward the front, “Charge!”
They expected the convertible to roar forward instantly—or at least in the next moment—but the car’s forward movement was painfully slow…
Even slower than when they were pushing it.
If one wasn’t paying close attention, it might seem as if the car hadn’t moved at all…
Ye Wuqi: “…”
Yan Baba: “…”
Lei Xingxing: “…”
Ye Luo: “…”
Gong Lü: “…”
Qin Zhaowen simply indulged in pride as he looked at his younger brother, clearly thinking, ‘He’s already amazing, just being able to get the car moving.’
Seeing Qin Zhaowen’s expression, Ye Luo and Gong Lü were speechless.
