At Tuotuo’s words, Jiang Muwen’s heart skipped a beat, her pulse fluttering as if it had missed a beat. The girl stared at her phone screen, seemingly unable to compose herself. If the photos had really gone viral, wouldn’t that mean many people knew about the two of them? Would her “One Green Plum” Weibo account be discovered? Would Wen Yichen find out?

A cascade of questions exploded in Jiang Muwen’s mind like firecrackers, crackling wildly. Before she could even reply, she tapped into Sean’s topic. Just as she expected, the thread was filled with photos from today’s concert.

Sean’s number one fan Ma Ya was out of focus, but look what I caught—a divine couple, qaq! At that moment, Wen Yichen was talking about taking the girl he liked to a concert, and the big screen showed this heavenly couple, qaq.

Underneath Sean’s Weibo post were several photos—photos exactly like those Tuotuo had sent Jiang Muwen. The post was made an hour ago, yet the comments and likes had already soared into the hundreds, with many people sharing it further.

At this moment, the comment section had erupted as well.

“A big cutie! Look at the way this boy looks at the girl—isn’t that love?”

“Searching for Tuotuo’s Caocao: If this guy doesn’t like this girl, I’ll eat my words live at the sports arena.”

“Yellow Banana: Even though the brothers’ faces are blurry, the dog food is really delicious, qaq.”

“Golden Fortune Portal: One Green Plum.”

Before Jiang Muwen could finish reading the comments, Gu Nianxi sent her a message: “Xiao Wenwen, is that you guys?”

Not long after, Gu Nianxi sent a photo. The familiar image flashed before Jiang Muwen’s eyes; she didn’t even need to open it to know what it contained.

“Jiang Muwen, how do you know about this photo?”

“Gu Nianxi: It’s gone viral in the fandom, okay?”

Jiang Muwen’s heart trembled. If that was the case…

“Do you think he would see it?”

“If he’s not involved in the fandom, maybe he won’t.”

Jiang Muwen was about to reply to Gu Nianxi when Wen Yixin sent her a message.

Her heart involuntarily fluttered. Wen Yixin’s messages at this moment were unpredictable—she couldn’t guess what he would say.

“Wen Yixin: Xiao Wenwen, are you free tomorrow morning?”

“Jiang Muwen: What’s up?”

“Wen Yixin: I’m having Wen Yichen sleep over in my room tonight. Tomorrow morning, shall we help Wen Yichen set up his room together?”

“Jiang Muwen: Won’t we disturb uncle and auntie?”

“Wen Yixin: No, they’re on a business trip.”

They agreed to meet at seven in the morning. The alarm was set for six-thirty, and the blaring sound yanked Jiang Muwen from her dreams. Still drowsy, she forced herself out of bed with the thought of decorating Wen Yichen’s room.

When she arrived at Wen Yichen’s house, everything was quiet. Wen Yixin quietly opened the door, beckoned her inside, and gently closed it behind her.

“Where’s Wen Yichen?” Jiang Muwen glanced around. The room was still and empty, and she felt a strange emptiness, as if something was missing.

“Shh,” Wen Yixin gestured for silence, then pointed to his bedroom, indicating Wen Yichen was still asleep.

The next moment, Wen Yixin gently pushed Jiang Muwen into Wen Yichen’s bedroom. “He usually wakes up around eight. We have an hour to decorate.”

As he spoke, Jiang Muwen’s eyes fell on a box of decorations placed on the floor.

“Isn’t this a little over the top?” She smiled awkwardly. After all, Wen Yichen was a boy—would decorating a young man’s room so lavishly feel a bit off?

“No way. Today’s little brother’s eighteenth birthday—his coming-of-age day. We can’t slack off.” Wen Yixin argued earnestly as he pulled out the decorations from the box one by one.

Jiang Muwen still stood there, watching Wen Yixin unpack the decorations, feeling a bit awkward.

“Did you specially buy these for Wen Yichen?” Jiang Muwen finally asked cautiously.

“No,” Wen Yixin responded effortlessly, “I got these decorations as freebies from my Double Eleven shopping a few days ago. Since they’re just lying around, might as well use them.”

Just after saying this, Wen Yixin suddenly paused, as if realizing his words were contradictory. “Anyway, today we’re giving Wen Yichen a surprise together.”

Hearing this, Jiang Muwen couldn’t help but chuckle. She wondered whether it would be a surprise or a shock for Wen Yichen.

“Don’t just stand there—blow up those balloons. I’ll stick them on the wall later,” Wen Yixin said as he stood up. “And this…”

A crisp sound cut through the quiet air. Wen Yixin suddenly froze, like a still painting.

His eyes were vacant, staring straight ahead. His sharply defined hand rested on his waist, his body slightly bent over. His once delicate features now seemed scrunched together.

Silence enveloped the room. Jiang Muwen stared blankly at Wen Yixin, speechless for a long moment. So this brother had twisted his waist.

“What’s wrong?” Jiang Muwen asked cautiously, concerned.

“My waist is injured,” he replied.

Jiang Muwen looked at him, momentarily at a loss for words. If his waist was hurt, then…

“Are we still decorating?” she asked tentatively.

“Of course,” Wen Yixin answered without hesitation. As he spoke, he took out the balloons from the box. “You blow up the balloons first; I’ll stick them on the walls. I’ll go put on a patch.”

Wen Yixin rubbed his waist, walking out of Wen Yichen’s room like an old man. Left alone, Jiang Muwen finished inflating the balloons. When Wen Yixin still hadn’t returned, she reluctantly grabbed the decorations, pulled over a chair, and carefully climbed up. After steadying herself, she gently hung the decoration strips on the window.

Jiang Muwen tiptoed slowly, just as she finished attaching the strips to the glass, the sound of the door opening reached her ears. Assuming it was Wen Yixin returning, she said without thinking, “Can you help me check if this decoration strip looks okay hanging like this?”
