Chapter Fifty-Eight: The Dimensional Descent Immortal Spell

Confronted by the relentless and aggressive onslaught of the chaotic behemoth, the Young Lord Supreme searched everywhere for a suitable tool to stall it, even if only for a moment.
Meanwhile, in the underground parking lot, aside from the panicked crowd desperately fleeing for their lives, there were actually a few audacious souls who, disregarding the danger, pulled out their phones to take pictures. In this era, within ten minutes, the internet trending topics that Huasheng had just mentioned would become a reality.
“Why are there so many people in the human world who risk their lives just for a few likes! Even a deity like me is running for my life, yet they’re still taking pictures?”
Seeing the dire situation, Huasheng reached out and flung those people’s phones far away. He shouted at them, “Stop taking pictures! If you don’t run now, you’ll die!”
Only then did those photo-obsessed people snap back to their senses. The parking lot was already shrouded in dust and smoke, and they hurriedly covered their mouths and noses, sprinting through the collapsing garage.
Having cleared the crowd, Huasheng turned and shouted to the Young Lord Supreme, “The dimensional reduction immortal spell you mentioned, besides using it to strike the chaos, could it work the other way around? Could we use the object we wish to seal to strike the monster instead?”
“Yes! That should work as well!” The Young Lord Supreme’s mind flashed with inspiration. “There are so many cars in this parking lot, why not try smashing it with a car? Maybe we can seal it onto a car and turn it into a bumper sticker.”
“This isn’t the time for discussion! Try it now!” Huasheng cut off his daydreaming.
The Young Lord Supreme pointed at a new car nearby. “Try sending this car flying into the chaos. When it hits, I’ll cast the spell to seal it!”
Huasheng didn’t have time to think it through. He quickly darted to the back of the car, aimed at the chaos, and struck the car with a powerful palm, shouting, “Up!”
But embarrassingly, the car only shuddered slightly, barely moving.
“What’s with your strength?” the Young Lord Supreme complained. “You couldn’t even set off the car alarm!”
“Maybe it’s because the car is well-built and heavy…” Huasheng offered a lame excuse. “I’ll try another one.”
At that moment, a small child from kindergarten happened to pass by on a toy car, accidentally bumping into the vehicle.
Beep! Beep! Beep! The car alarm blared loudly.
The Young Lord Supreme glanced at Huasheng, the awkward silence between them thick enough to freeze the air.
Huasheng quickly picked up the child and handed him to his rushing mother. “Take care of your child! This is too dangerous!”
The mother immediately carried her child toward the exit. Huasheng turned back to the Young Lord Supreme and said, “The alarm went off because of my hit earlier!”
“Is that really worth explaining now?” The Young Lord Supreme gathered his energy, muttering, “Alas! I’ll have to do it myself!”
He crouched beside a large multi-purpose vehicle, struck it forcefully, and shouted, “By the order of the law! Immortal Ink Spell!”
With a thunderous boom, the vehicle, enveloped in celestial light, shot toward the chaos like a bullet, striking the monster squarely in the head.
Unfortunately, this move proved ineffective. The nearly two-ton vehicle was split in half by the chaos, its steel body skidding across the ground, sparks flying. The ruptured fuel tank exploded violently.
The already powerless garage was now ablaze with fire and thick smoke.
“That didn’t work?” Huasheng said, coughing.
“The impact is still too weak—it can’t bring it down a dimension.”
Suddenly Huasheng recalled, “Young Lord Supreme, those Thirty-Six Transformations of the Celestial Gang and the Seventy-Two Transformations of the Earth Fiends you mentioned in class—have you mastered them?”
The Young Lord Supreme glanced at him. “What are you suggesting?”
“Though I haven’t learned it yet, could you transform me into a giant beast? I’ll ram it myself!”

“I know the Thirty-Six Celestial Transformations, but I’ve never tried it on someone else,” the Young Lord Supreme hesitated.
“Transform me! I’ll ram it, and you cast the Immortal Ink Spell!” Huasheng urged. “Just remember to turn me back afterwards.”
“Alright, I’ll try!” the Young Lord Supreme agreed.
“I believe in you!” Huasheng stepped out from behind cover, walking straight toward the chaos. He loosened his neck and shoulders, warming up, then turned back with a confident grin. “Ever seen ‘Godzilla’? Turn me into Godzilla! Let’s give this chaos a taste of our power!”
“It’s settled then!” the Young Lord Supreme recited the incantation, pointed at Huasheng, and shouted, “By the order of the law! Godzilla!”
Huasheng, impatient, roared, ready to transform into a giant beast and look down on the chaos. But as a flash of light enveloped him, something felt off—his anticipated towering perspective instead seemed lower than ever, looking up from below.
“What’s going on?”
He looked around and caught his reflection in the polished surface of a nearby sports car.
He’d become a toy poodle!
“Woof! Woof! Woof! Woof!” Huasheng howled in anger. “What did you do? Why am I a dog? And a toy-sized poodle at that!”
“Ah! Sorry, it’s not that my magic failed. It seems there’s a mysterious power called ‘copyright restriction’ interfering,” the Young Lord Supreme apologized, “But the poodle look is cute, isn’t it? Coffee brown suits you—let’s call you Mocha, like mocha coffee!”
“What nonsense! Don’t give me random names! Woof! Woof! Woof! Woof!” Huasheng bellowed. “As a poodle, all I can do now is run for my life! What use is this?”
He’d thought his original form might at least be enough to get stuck in the chaos’s teeth; now he wasn’t even enough to fill the gap.
The chaos beast glanced at the poodle and pounced. Huasheng turned and sprinted for his life. To his surprise, running on four legs was indeed faster than two! The small, agile Huasheng darted beneath the cars, as the chaos battered vehicles aside, explosions and screeching metal filling the air behind him.
In the midst of the chaos and booming blasts, the Young Lord Supreme suddenly appeared at Huasheng’s side and whispered, “Huasheng, I have an idea! Run toward that gap in the wall and lure the chaos back underground. I’ll go find the earth drake!”
Huasheng nodded—the earth dragon was the most reliable solution for now.
“Hold on for just a moment!” With that, the Young Lord Supreme vanished into the ground.
Now determined, Huasheng quickly spotted the breach in the parking garage wall created by the chaos. He dashed in front of the monster and began to bark loudly.
“Woof! Woof! Woof! Woof!”
With the explosions echoing throughout the garage, the chaos didn’t notice the tiny poodle at first and simply passed by.
Seeing this wasn’t working, Huasheng hopped and bounded in front of the chaos, baring his teeth and even spitting at it.
“Grrrrrr… Woof! Woof! Woof! Woof! Ptui! Ptui! Ptui! Ptui!”
At last, the chaos noticed the little creature before it and raised a paw to stomp. Huasheng dodged to the side and, baring his fangs, bit down hard on the chaos’s front paw.
Ugh! Disgusting! The stench was unbearable!
Huasheng retched. If the Young Lord Supreme were here, he’d surely comment: “After centuries without a wash, anyone would smell that bad.”
Nonetheless, the ploy succeeded—the chaos was enraged and gave chase. Huasheng ran on all fours, agile and elusive, with the chaos close behind as they raced toward the gap in the wall.
Tears streaming down his face, Huasheng sprinted at his fastest, perhaps setting a new speed record for small dogs. “There’s always a new low! Young Lord Supreme, you left me here. Half my life as a man—don’t let me end it as a pet dog dying here!”
After a frantic dash, Huasheng found his path blocked by a high wall. He jumped desperately, but the saying ‘a cornered dog will leap a wall’ did not apply to toy poodles—the wall was simply too tall. He tried with all his might but couldn’t even reach halfway up.

The chaotic behemoth stared at the poodle, roaring as it closed in step by step. Just as despair threatened to overwhelm Huasheng, a thought struck him—he’d asked the Young Lord Supreme to turn him into Godzilla, so perhaps his fire-breathing power would still work. Maybe he could roast the monster!
“Awooo!”
The poodle-Huasheng let out a low growl, and sure enough, a flame burst from his mouth. Overjoyed, he drew a deep breath and unleashed his full strength, producing a sheet of fire before him!
Amazing! He might yet be saved!
But before he could celebrate, he remembered his body was no larger than a pair of palms. So where was this sea of fire?
He looked and saw that the scorched area was barely a square meter.
My fate is sealed!
Utterly despondent, Huasheng sat down and extended his furry little paw. Maybe a handshake and a wagging tongue would win some mercy and spare his life.
The chaos monster eyed him in confusion, bellowed, and sent the poodle-Huasheng flying into the brick wall.
This really was the end! He was about to be chewed into a pulp, finished for good. Weak and helpless, Huasheng could only cover his eyes with his little paws.
Just then, from the distance came the thunderous sound of screeching rails and the deep blare of a train horn. Two blazing headlights pierced the haze, as dazzling as searchlights. A driverless subway train, as long as a dragon, barreled toward the monster from behind!
The Young Lord Supreme stood atop the train’s roof, shouting, “Fiend! I’ve brought the iron dragon to teach you a lesson!”
It wasn’t an earth dragon after all, but an entire subway train from who-knows-where!
As the train thundered along the rails, wind howling, the Young Lord Supreme stood tall and shouted, “Let’s see how you handle being reduced to two dimensions! By the order of the law! Immortal Ink Spell!”
Rumble! The ground shook violently!
A blinding flash and a deafening crash sent Huasheng flying.
It was a long time before the dust in the tunnel began to settle. Huasheng covered his nose with his paw, but with a dog’s keen sense of smell, the smoke stung his eyes and nose until tears and snot ran down his face.
Through the haze, the Young Lord Supreme’s blurry figure rushed over, patted Huasheng’s body, and Huasheng felt his limbs stretch and unfold as he returned to human form.
“Sorry I’m late! It took me ages to evacuate all the passengers from the train cars—I had to toss them onto the platform,” the Young Lord Supreme said.
“And the chaos?” Huasheng asked, rubbing the grit from his eyes.
“I sealed it into a book.”
“In a book?”
“Yes. I couldn’t find any reliable vessel nearby, but I found an elementary schooler’s backpack and sealed the chaos into a textbook.”
“A textbook? As in, compulsory education curriculum?”
“Exactly!”
“Well then! With all those endless exercises and essays, even the greatest immortals would find it hard to escape. I’m sure every child can relate,” Huasheng chuckled dryly.
Let’s just hope that student doesn’t tear up the book, or the ferocious chaos will break free once again!
