Upon hearing this, Qin Guofu’s eyes lit up sharply. He looked at Chen Yang and said sarcastically, "You? You actually bought the number one villa in Dijing Pavilion? Who bought it for you? Did Shen Donghua buy it for you?"

"It doesn't matter who bought it for me. The point is, the number one villa in Dijing Pavilion is now mine, isn't it?" Chen Yang replied with a cold smirk.

"So what if it’s yours? You didn't buy it with your own merit," Qin Guofu sneered.

Chen Yang pondered for a moment. He truly felt that Qin Guofu had lost his mind—completely lost it. It was bordering on insanity. Not wanting to waste any more words on such a person, he turned to Qin Muxue and said, "Muxue, show him out."

Qin Muxue also felt that her uncle, Qin Guofu, was making too much of a scene. She walked over to him and urged, "Uncle, that’s enough. Let’s go, let’s go."

"Chen Yang, you dared to hit young master Yu of the Yu family! You will definitely not have a good ending! You will definitely not have a good ending!" Even as Qin Muxue pushed him toward the door, Qin Guofu continued to shout at Chen Yang.

Chen Yang treated Qin Guofu’s yelling like empty air, a mere nothingness; he didn't take it to heart at all. Once Qin Muxue finally pushed him out of the villa, Chen Yang’s eyes were filled with deep disdain.

A short while later, Qin Muxue returned. As she entered the villa, she frowned and asked, "Chen Yang, what is actually going on?"

Chen Yang shrugged helplessly and explained, "It’s just that one of President Shen’s business rivals was causing trouble, and I helped him settle it."

"Was that man the young master of the provincial capital's Yu family?" Qin Muxue asked with a worried expression. She had heard of the Yu family in the provincial capital; they were a formidable clan. She began to worry for Chen Yang and secretly blamed him for being so impulsive as to strike a young master from such a family.

Anxious, she couldn't help but ask, "Chen Yang, you’ve gotten yourself into big trouble. How are you going to clean up this mess later?"

Chen Yang smiled faintly. "Don't worry, don't I still have President Shen?"

"Will President Shen actually get involved in this?" Qin Muxue asked, still concerned.

Chen Yang laughed immediately. "Of course he will. I stood up for him in this matter, so he will certainly handle it."

"Oh, well, as long as it's being handled. If it can be resolved peacefully, then let's resolve it peacefully," she advised.

Chen Yang could tell her words were born of genuine concern. Not wanting her to worry too much, he smiled gently and said, "Don't worry, both President Shen and I have it under control."

"That's good," Qin Muxue replied, nodding before falling silent.

After a moment, she checked the time on her phone and said softly, "Chen Yang, let's go to work."

"Oh, right." Chen Yang nodded, and they left the villa together.

Instead of heading straight to Huading Company, Chen Yang first made a trip to the First People's Hospital to visit Shen Donghua.

Shen Donghua had been hospitalized for nearly a week. Chen Yang had been busy and hadn't found the time to visit, which made him feel a bit guilty. However, he had kept in touch via phone calls with Shen Donghua and Zhang Lin, and from their descriptions, he knew Shen was recovering quite well.

At nine in the morning, Chen Yang arrived at the hospital room and met with Zhang Lin and Shen Donghua. Shen was wearing a hospital gown and was now able to sit up at the head of the bed. Seeing Chen Yang walk in with two large bags of fruit, Shen said apologetically, "President Chen, you didn't have to bring anything. Why go through the trouble of buying fruit?"

"This fruit is nothing. It’s been so many days and I haven't had time to visit, so I came specifically to see you today," Chen Yang replied with a warm, sincere smile.

"Why visit? I'm doing just fine here," Shen Donghua chuckled. He then cast a grateful look toward Zhang Lin, who had been taking care of him throughout his stay. Shen felt truly indebted to Zhang Lin's dedicated service.

Seeing this, Chen Yang had an idea and joked with Zhang Lin, "Zhang Lin, since you’ve taken such good care of President Shen, you’d better ask him for a raise once he’s fully recovered!"

Zhang Lin laughed awkwardly, and Shen Donghua joined in with a chuckle. After a moment, Shen nodded repeatedly, saying, "A raise, absolutely. It’s well-deserved."

Zhang Lin waved his hands frantically. "No, no, that won't do at all, President Shen. Taking care of you is my duty; it’s really nothing."

"You’ve worked hard," Shen said.

"It’s not hard at all, it’s just what I should do," Zhang Lin insisted.

"Zhang Lin, you must take the raise. It would be a waste not to," Chen Yang said with a smile, his hands behind his back.

Zhang Lin gave a wry smile and eventually relented. "Alright then, since both bosses are insisting, I’ll accept."

Chen Yang and Shen Donghua both laughed. After the humor subsided, Chen Yang turned serious. "By the way, there is one more thing I want to tell you. The Shangxi Construction Company, previously held by Cui Shangkai of the Southwest Chamber of Commerce, has now become a subsidiary of our Huading Company."

Shen Donghua looked stunned. "President Chen, do you mean that Shangxi Company has been fully acquired by Huading?"

"Yes," Chen Yang nodded.

Shen Donghua’s eyes lit up with delight. "President Chen, that is fantastic news! That’s a huge win. Shangxi Construction has significant strength; having them join Huading is like adding wings to a tiger. But..." Shen’s expression clouded over. "Shangxi was a company Cui Shangkai valued highly. How could he possibly be willing to sell it to us?"

"That’s a story for another time," Chen Yang chuckled. He proceeded to recount the entire sequence of events regarding how Cui Shangkai ended up selling the company.

Upon hearing the story, Shen Donghua couldn't help but comment, "He deserved it."

"He absolutely did," Chen Yang added coldly, his eyes narrowing.

"And your wife? Is she alright?" Shen inquired with concern.

"She's fine, she wasn't hurt, and she’s back to work now," Chen Yang replied.

"That's good, that's good. As long as she's safe, that's all that matters," Shen nodded.

Chen Yang agreed. After chatting a bit more, he left for Huading Company.

At 3:30 in the afternoon, while Chen Yang was at his desk working, his phone rang. He was surprised to see it was a call from Qin Muxue. He answered, only to hear her voice trembling with anxiety. "Chen Yang, are you busy? Mom has collapsed and is being rushed to the ICU. Please come quickly!"

"Where? The ICU?" Chen Yang stood up, stunned. The ICU? That was for critical conditions. His mother-in-law didn't have any serious illnesses, did she? He felt something was wrong, but he didn't dwell on it. "Alright, I understand. Don't panic, everything will be fine."

"Okay," Qin Muxue replied, though her voice was clearly choked with tears.

Chen Yang hung up and rushed toward the hospital. Half an hour later, he arrived at the Huashan Hospital in Linhai City, the best facility for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Through contact with Qin Muxue, he learned she and Qin Guoshan were already outside the ICU on the seventh floor.

As he reached the seventh floor, he saw them standing there. Qin Muxue walked toward him, her face full of sorrow. "How could this happen to Mom? How could...?"

"What exactly is going on? Why is she in the ICU?" Chen Yang asked urgently.

"The doctor's preliminary diagnosis is a cerebral hemorrhage caused by high blood pressure," Qin Muxue sobbed. "She might need craniotomy surgery."

"Craniotomy?" Chen Yang felt a chill run down his spine. It wasn't a minor procedure. If it went wrong, she might not even make it off the operating table. Even if she did, the potential for permanent damage could be devastating.

Despite his own fear, Chen Yang forced himself to stay composed and comforted her, "It will be alright. Don't worry, she will be fine."
