Chapter Eighty-Eight: Battle, Formation of a Super Team
Shen Donghua pondered for a moment. He understood what Chen Yang meant, but when it came to dealing with the Yu family, he still couldn’t quite see what Chen Yang was planning. He lowered his voice and asked, “Mr. Chen, what about the Yu family?”
“I have my own plans for that,” Chen Yang replied calmly.
Shen Donghua gazed deeply at Chen Yang, and he could see the confidence in the young man’s eyes. He knew well that although Chen Yang was young, he was no ordinary person.
Recalling his own momentary panic earlier, Shen Donghua felt embarrassed. He resolved not to overthink things any further and decided to follow Chen Yang’s instructions.
Half an hour later, Shen Donghua drove himself to the entrance of Qin Tianrong’s villa. Just as he got out of the car, Qin Guofu was helping Qin Tianrong out of the villa to enjoy some sunlight.
As they emerged from the villa, Qin Guofu and Qin Tianrong immediately noticed Shen Donghua standing at the gate. Qin Guofu’s expression changed.
Without wasting words, Shen Donghua addressed them directly, “Mr. Qin, I’d like to have a proper conversation with you.”
Although Qin Tianrong harbored plenty of grievances against Shen Donghua, he maintained a polite facade. With an even expression, he said, “Mr. Shen, please come in.”
Shen Donghua entered the courtyard and approached Qin Tianrong. Qin Tianrong immediately requested, “Guofu, hurry inside and bring a chair out for Mr. Shen.”
Qin Guofu nodded quickly, “Alright.”
He turned to head back inside for a chair, but Shen Donghua stopped him, “No need. I’m only here to say a few words. I’ll leave right after.”
Qin Guofu turned and frowned at Shen Donghua, his expression matching Qin Tianrong’s—guarded and wary.
Clearly, both Qin Guofu and Qin Tianrong still held grievances against Shen Donghua, though they were doing their best to suppress them.
Shen Donghua looked at Qin Tianrong, disregarding whatever thoughts he or Qin Guofu might have, and said coldly, “I’ve heard that you, Mr. Qin, have gotten involved in the matter between Huading Corporation and the Yu family. Is that true?”
Qin Tianrong’s eyelids twitched violently at his words.
He had suspected that Shen Donghua’s visit was about the Yu family, and now it seemed his guess was right.
As for the Qin family joining forces with the Yu family, Qin Tianrong had no intention of changing his mind. After all, the Qin family no longer had any business dealings with Huading Corporation. Seeking cooperation with the Yu family now—was that so wrong?
Qin Tianrong had already made up his mind: the Qin family would collaborate with the Yu family, no matter who came to persuade them.
With this in mind, he narrowed his eyes and smiled, “Mr. Shen, aren’t you being a bit overbearing?”
Shen Donghua grinned, “Oh? Overbearing? Tell me, how am I being overbearing?”
Qin Tianrong replied coldly, “Huading Corporation has no ties with the Qin family anymore. We must survive, so why shouldn’t the Qin family seek cooperation with the Yu family?”
Shen Donghua burst out laughing, “So, that’s your idea of overbearing?”
Qin Tianrong said coldly, “The Qin family and Yu family are merely seeking cooperation. Whatever business you and the Yu family have is yours alone. The Qin family won’t interfere and doesn’t want to.”
Shen Donghua nodded slightly, “Very well. Mr. Qin, you’re straightforward. But I hope you’ll stand by your word. If I find the Qin family meddling in matters between Huading Corporation and the Yu family again, you’ll be the one embarrassed.”
Qin Tianrong felt particularly annoyed by Shen Donghua’s words.
He thought to himself: Shen Donghua, you’ve already thoroughly offended the Yu family. Before long, they’ll destroy you. What is there to boast about in front of me?
With this in mind, a scornful smile appeared on Qin Tianrong’s old face. “Mr. Shen, since the Qin family and Yu family have chosen to work together, there’s nothing wrong with helping Mr. Yu out a bit.”
“Hmph.”
Shen Donghua snorted coldly. After a moment’s thought, he replied icily, “In any case, I, Shen Donghua, and Huading Corporation have said what needed to be said. How you choose is your business. But if you remain stubborn and let the Qin family suffer in the end, don’t regret it.”
With that, Shen Donghua turned and got into his car, driving away.
As soon as Shen Donghua left, Qin Guofu sneered, “What a joke. He’s offended the Yu family and still thinks Huading Corporation is so impressive.”
Qin Tianrong narrowed his eyes, pondering for a moment. He felt that the Qin family ought to focus on their own affairs and cautioned softly, “Guofu, let’s mind our own business and not worry about others.”
Qin Guofu nodded quickly, “Understood, Dad!”
…
After returning to Huading Corporation, Shen Donghua recounted in detail everything that had transpired during his meeting with Qin Tianrong to Chen Yang.
Chen Yang could clearly tell that Qin Tianrong was refusing to listen to reason and insisted on siding with the Yu family.
Chen Yang didn’t bother with them. He knew well that the Qin family was nothing more than a lackey—the real power lay with the Yu family. Once the Yu family was suppressed, what trouble could a mere lackey cause?
Soon, three top executives from the Yu family began targeting Huading Corporation.
This time, their visit to Linhai wasn’t just to check on the injured Yu Fanwei. Their main purpose was to avenge him—and, incidentally, to seize the land in the northern suburbs.
That parcel of land in the northern suburbs was highly profitable; the Yu family weren’t fools. Since they were already going after Huading Corporation, why not grab the northern suburbs land as well?
In this way, they could both avenge Yu Fanwei and make a fortune—two birds with one stone.
Thus, the three Yu family executives divided the labor and tackled three tasks.
The first task was to halt Huading Corporation’s new city project in the northern suburbs.
The second task: call every company cooperating with Huading Corporation, use the Yu family’s influence to pressure them into stopping all cooperation.
The third task: seek out lawyers and connections to see if they could invalidate Huading’s land purchase contract, allowing the Yu family to take possession of the land.
These three tasks were handled concurrently by the three executives.
Soon enough, the first and second tasks showed results: the new city project was halted again, and five companies called Shen Donghua to terminate their cooperation with Huading Corporation.
As for the third task—nullifying the land purchase contract and transferring the land to the Yu family—it was proving more difficult and was still underway.
With all these events unfolding simultaneously, Shen Donghua knew he had to consult Chen Yang right away.
So, despite it being eight-thirty in the evening, Shen Donghua called Chen Yang and arranged to meet at Huading Corporation to discuss how to proceed.
At nine o’clock that night, Chen Yang arrived at the office.
To justify going out so late, Chen Yang told Qin Muxue that a friend was drunk and needed a ride, convincing her to let him leave the house.
Regardless, at nine o’clock, Chen Yang entered the office. As soon as he met Shen Donghua, the latter promptly reported all three matters.
After listening, Chen Yang frowned in thought, then suddenly smiled, “I never expected the Yu family to be so methodical.”
Shen Donghua frowned, “Mr. Chen, I don’t think the Yu family is bluffing this time. They won’t rest until they get the northern suburbs land.”
“Of course. It’s understandable. Imagine, if you saw a juicy piece of meat ahead, wouldn’t you want a bite?” Chen Yang replied calmly.
Shen Donghua agreed, though he felt that wasn’t the main issue—the real question was how to handle the situation.
He looked intently at Chen Yang, “Mr. Chen, how do you plan to resolve this?”
After pondering, Chen Yang smiled, “Actually, this incident can accelerate a plan I’ve always had in mind.”
Shen Donghua’s eyes showed confusion, “What do you mean?”
Chen Yang clasped his hands behind his back, speaking calmly, “I’ve always wanted to build a team of my own, one filled with talented people. After all, I’ll eventually head to Beijing to settle scores with some people. Without a team, it’s impossible.”
“Originally, this was just a mental blueprint. But since the Yu family is pressing so hard, I can push the plan forward ahead of schedule.”
Shen Donghua understood Chen Yang’s intention.
Still, he felt there might be a better solution—namely, seeking help from the Song family in Beijing. After all, when Chen Yang dealt with Liu Xianghui before, it was the Song family who assisted him.
With this in mind, Shen Donghua asked earnestly, “Mr. Chen, why not ask the Song family in Beijing for help?”
“The Song family in Beijing?” Chen Yang grinned, “Of course, I can ask them. But each time, it’s a favor owed. If I always rely on others, how will my own team grow, right?”
Shen Donghua understood, and with a frown, asked softly, “So, Mr. Chen, you intend to handle the Yu family yourself this time?”
Chen Yang nodded with a smile, “Absolutely. It’s necessary. I feel it’s time to begin my plan.”
Shen Donghua looked at Chen Yang in confusion, uncertain what he was planning.
After thinking for a while, Chen Yang took out his phone from his pocket and looked at Shen Donghua, “Mr. Shen, please step outside for a moment. I need to make a call.”
