Time slipped by slowly. Deep within the dense forest, the roars of beasts echoed intermittently. In this tense atmosphere, the man and the monkey continued their efforts to communicate with gestures, completely ignoring the last young member of the Yuan family.

Squeaks and chitters broke the silence.

As Ye Feng furrowed his brow in frustration, unsure how to rid himself of this peculiar monkey, the little creature finally lost patience with their wordless exchange.

In a flash, the silver figure darted before his eyes and perched itself upon his shoulder.

“You rascal of a monkey! I’ve never wronged you in the past, nor offended you recently. It’s only a language barrier between us—there’s no need to resort to violence!” Turning his head slightly, Ye Feng looked at the monkey playing with his hair, his face bitter, and began to ramble like a nagging monk, “Killing is wrong, you know. Please, have mercy and spare me! Go about your business elsewhere—people often pass through here, and if you’re not careful, someone might catch you and eat your brain alive…”

Even as he spoke, Ye Feng was secretly gathering spiritual energy in his hands as discreetly as possible.

He was afraid—this little one was truly formidable.

“Go… go…”

The monkey pointed a paw toward the dense woods, its ruby-like eyes fixed on Ye Feng, mumbling incoherently.

“Does this fellow intend to abduct me?” Ye Feng felt a surge of anxiety, but recalling the monkey’s terrifying strength, he could only disperse his gathered energy and, with much grievance, obey its commands.

The monkey, in its childish voice, finished speaking and waved its paw threateningly, as if to say, “Keep up or you’ll get a beating,” before transforming into a streak of silver and darting into the distance.

Intimidated by the monkey’s dominance, Ye Feng followed reluctantly—like a shy bride on her wedding day—trailing behind the monkey as they ran deeper into the mountains.

Though he could not match the monkey’s power, he would never willingly submit. Still, deep down, he sensed the monkey harbored no malice toward him. Almost against his own will, he followed the mischievous creature into the Luoyan Mountain Range.

Thus began a journey that lasted half a day. By the time the towering peaks nearly blocked out the sunlight, man and monkey at last entered the Luoyan Mountains.

One had to admit—the monkey’s strength was truly fearsome. Lower-tier demon beasts glimpsed the flash of its shimmering silver fur from afar and immediately cowered on the ground, trembling, not daring even to flee.

“Could this little one also be a demon king?” Ye Feng wondered as he followed.

Once inside the Luoyan Mountains, the monkey moved faster and faster. Ye Feng was forced to exert himself fully, even using the “Jiaolong Glide” technique, barely managing to keep pace.

Three or four hours later, Ye Feng found himself at the base of a cliff. Unlike the rest of the area, this place was barren and devoid of any trees or grass.

Not far ahead, a cave abruptly appeared, roughly three meters high.

The monkey turned back, leapt nimbly onto Ye Feng’s shoulder, and gestured enthusiastically toward the cave, indicating he should go inside.

“Are you really trying to get me killed?” Ye Feng shuddered as he eyed the dark, yawning mouth of the cave, questioning the monkey on his shoulder.

Before he could react, the monkey unceremoniously leapt down, waved its paw, and a powerful force shoved poor Ye Feng straight into the cave.

Stumbling inside, Ye Feng barely had time to regain his balance before a sound like a bursting balloon rang in his ears.

At the same time, he felt himself pass through some invisible barrier. In the blink of an eye, the world spun, and the scene before him transformed utterly.

“What…?”

Staring at the new landscape, Ye Feng’s face was filled with disbelief.

Here, there was not the slightest hint of autumn; all around him was lush and verdant, teeming with vitality. Waves of rich spiritual energy crashed over him like the tide. In the distance, countless sturdy trees bore strange, unknown fruits.

Compared to his shock, the monkey seemed utterly at ease. It scampered up a tree, plucked a fruit, and began to eat without a care.

Ye Feng surveyed his surroundings cautiously. This foolish little monkey was clearly still in its juvenile stage. While it had naively brought him into this orchard, if its parents also resided here, the consequences could be dire.

No one would willingly reveal the location of their treasure trove. Besides, the intelligence of high-level demon beasts was nothing to scoff at.

He began to walk forward slowly. Here, there were no towering trees—only stout trunks two or three meters high, laden with unknown, intoxicatingly fragrant fruits.

There were no thorns either; everywhere he looked, there were only aromatic spiritual herbs and rare fungi.

“What is this place?” Even with two lifetimes’ worth of experience, Ye Feng was awestruck by this garden-like paradise. In the blink of an eye, he had entered a realm that seemed plucked from a fairy tale.

“Senior, do you know where we are?” Once the first wave of shock passed, he began to examine his surroundings, sinking his mind into his dantian as he asked in a low voice.

But after waiting, there was no response from the Dragon Serpent Demon King. In fact, Ye Feng sensed that even the demon king’s core within his body seemed listless, as if it were afraid of something.

Left with no choice, Ye Feng could only heighten his vigilance and carefully inspect his surroundings.

This celestial orchard was about a li in diameter. Beyond that, the world became shrouded in gray mist, as if chaos had yet to be divided, vague and indistinct.

When he tried to peer into the misty distance, another shock awaited him: whenever he attempted to see through the chaos, a powerful dizziness would overwhelm him, splitting his head with pain.

No matter which direction he turned, it was the same—hazy grayness everywhere, as if the world itself had not yet been formed.

Ye Feng frowned and set off toward the mist, hoping to discern what lay beyond. But after walking a thousand meters, an invisible wall blocked his path, preventing him from taking another step, while the gray mist remained impossibly distant.

At last, Ye Feng realized with certainty that he had entered a place known as a “Domain.”

According to legend, those who reached a certain level of cultivation could, by virtue of their own great power, deceive the very laws of heaven and earth and carve out an independent space within the world—one that no outsider could enter.

This was called a “Domain.”

Within a Domain, its master was supreme. Anyone caught inside could be annihilated with a single thought, leaving not even a corpse behind.

Domains were divided into “Outer Domains” and “Inner Domains.” The space Ye Feng now occupied was an Outer Domain—meaning a domain outside the body.

An Inner Domain, as the name implied, was one that existed within the cultivator’s own body. As for how to create such a space, only those who reached that level of mastery could know.
