Immortal Heavenly King Zhurong 3087 words 2026-03-05 00:29:43

The monkey fell silent as well; perhaps it too had seen something. At this moment, all its mischief had vanished, and it quietly led Ye Feng out of the cave.

Once again returning to the Luoyan Mountains, Ye Feng gulped in the fresh air of heaven and earth, turning to glance back at the cave behind him. It remained utterly unremarkable, stretching only two or three zhang deep. Yet his mind could not help but replay the images from the depths of chaos.

A blood-red earth, devastation as far as the eye could see. Mighty divine trees shattered and splintered, and the hard ground was riddled with ravines hundreds of zhang wide. Countless corpses lay strewn about, blood flowing for thousands of feet.

In the far distance, a blurred figure stood in the void, wielding a long blade that slaughtered in all directions. From time to time, blade auras hundreds of zhang long tore down from the void, crashing thunderously into the earth. Mountains collapsed, and the ground cracked open.

...

By now, dusk had nearly fallen. Ye Feng forced himself to think no more of it and dashed straight out of the woods. Ever since coming here, a deep worry for his family had been gnawing at him.

Oddly enough, the monkey seemed to have taken a liking to him, trailing his every step and refusing to be driven away.

Through the brambles, man and monkey sped like lightning.

“Phew! That scared me half to death…” As Ye Feng raced onward, a tremulous voice echoed from the chaos inside the demon king’s inner core—it was the Dragonjiao Demon King, his tone full of lingering fear.

Ye Feng rolled his eyes but paid no mind to the unreliable old demon, hurrying onward at full speed. The ominous feeling in his heart grew ever stronger, as if some unseen force was warning him.

“Boy, if you ever find yourself on the territory of such supreme beings again, don’t you dare communicate with me—I was almost killed by your reckless ignorance!” Despite Ye Feng’s silence, the Dragonjiao Demon King wouldn’t stop rambling. “Still, there were a few immortal fruits in that garden that would be quite beneficial to me…”

“Senior, let’s discuss this later. I must return home at once,” Ye Feng cut him off, unwilling to listen to any more of his chatter.

The night passed without further incident. By the time man and monkey reached Covering Sky City, it was nearly midnight.

Normally, this would be the city’s busiest hour. Yet as soon as he entered, Ye Feng sensed something was wrong. The streets were nearly empty, and the air was thick with the stench of blood.

Alarmed, he rushed to the Ye family estate, only to find chaos and ruin. The clang of metal striking metal rang out from within the courtyard, mingled with the shouts of combatants locked in battle.

“Second Uncle… Xiao Long… Ying’er…”

Ye Feng roared and charged inside like a madman, already guessing what had transpired.

But just past the entrance, he was greeted by the sight of several fallen Ye family guards, all killed with a single stroke.

In a corner, he spotted a guard still clinging to life, though his chest was caved in completely—the enemy’s strength had clearly far surpassed his, striking him down with utter disregard.

“Young Master Feng, go… it’s an ambush…” The guard mustered his last ounce of strength to shout as Ye Feng hurried over.

Fury erupted within Ye Feng—he hadn’t felt such anger in a very long time. Though many in the family looked down on him, and he in turn disliked many of his kin… they were still his family.

He rose to his feet and strode inward, step by step.

Setting foot in the courtyard, he found devastation everywhere—dozens of bodies lay strewn across the ground. The central pavilion had been toppled, and two men sat atop stone stools—they were the sentinels.

As Ye Feng entered the garden, the pair immediately charged at him, bellowing, “The Yuan and Zhou families are handling this—are you looking to die, brat? Get lost!”

“Die!”

Ye Feng’s fist shot out, holding nothing back. In the next instant, the two men, caught completely off guard, were sent flying. By the time they hit the ground, they were already dead.

Though it revealed his strength, he had dealt with them in the swiftest manner possible.

Reveal his strength? What use was strength if his home was no more?

He didn’t return to his own courtyard but headed straight for Ye Long’s quarters.

Along the way, he encountered several skirmishes, dispatching his foes with a single punch each time.

By now, a few other Ye family members had begun to follow him, though almost all were seriously wounded.

Unopposed, they quickly reached Ye Long’s residence, only to be surrounded by more than a dozen men from the two rival families.

Inside the courtyard, five or six men had Ye Long encircled, attacking him at a leisurely pace.

Ye Long’s eyes were blood-red, his body drenched in blood. He lunged left and right, but his attackers gave him no chance to face them head-on. Each time he clashed with them, he endured the combined force of two or three opponents—they were clearly toying with him.

Not far from Ye Long, a youth of perhaps seventeen or eighteen lounged crookedly on a stool, watching the fight with relish.

“Heh! Didn’t you claim to be strong? Come on, then… I’m right here—come kill me if you can!” The youth’s gaze was mocking, his voice loud with derision.

“Zhou Yun, damn your ancestors! Not even in death will I let you go!” Ye Long charged at him like a madman, but was quickly restrained again. In his distraction, several more wounds were added to his body.

The youth called Zhou Yun laughed even harder. “I thought you were so impressive—tsk tsk, to have condensed twenty spirit lines at the age of twelve, a real genius… But so what? Aren’t you still like a dog?”

The others burst into laughter. For them, killing Ye Long was as easy as turning a hand. But who told him to be such a prodigy? Geniuses always invite envy…

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Suddenly, chaos erupted as several guards stationed outside were hurled inside. None moved again after hitting the ground.

“Zhou Yun, you’re courting death.”

A sudden wind swept through, and in a blur, someone walked in at the door—a figure drenched in blood.

Ye Feng gently helped Ye Long up. “Leave the rest to me. Not a single one will escape…”

At these words, Ye Long fainted dead away. His wounds were simply too severe—more than twenty gashes covered his body. His endurance until now had been sheer force of will.

Zhou Yun hesitated, raising a hand to stop his clansmen from charging. “Isn’t this the Ye family’s good-for-nothing…”

Ye Feng interrupted him, raising a single finger. “It’s been a long time—a long time since I’ve wanted so desperately to kill someone. Today, you can all die here.”

Turning, he handed Ye Long to those behind him, then casually picked up a massive hammer. “You invade my Ye family—I’ll see that not a dog or chicken of your clans is left alive…”

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Before anyone could react, Ye Feng, stepping with the ‘Flood Dragon’s Glide’, swung the hammer, smashing it atop the heads of the three nearest men.

In the next instant… their heads exploded, blood and gore spraying everywhere.

“Why are there so many fools in this world who don’t know their own limits?” Ye Feng asked quietly, holding the hammer in his right hand as he watched the three headless bodies collapse.

“A-attack—kill him!” They’d seen brutality before, but never anything like this—a killer who didn’t so much as blink. Zhou Yun shrank back in terror, shouting at the top of his lungs.

The Zhou family’s men surged forward, but numbers meant nothing. No one could land a blow on Ye Feng as he moved with the ‘Flood Dragon’s Glide’, and none could evade his hammer.

One after another, heads burst open. This boy must have played too much whack-a-mole in a past life—every swing aimed right at the skull…

Ye Feng believed himself strong at heart, but there were things he truly cared about—like family.

He was human, and humans crave certain things. For Ye Feng, family was what he longed for most.

But today, someone tried to take his family’s lives once again.

Last time, he had been a helpless infant, forced to watch his mother die before his eyes.

But this time, he had the strength to change everything.

Body after headless body fell. In the blink of an eye, only a dozen or so remained—the rest had all been killed by a single blow.

Zhou Yun was stunned—what kind of movement technique was this? To kill more than thirty spirit-level experts without a scratch? It was impossible!

Yet the reality was right before his eyes.

“Use spiritual power! Let’s see how he dodges that!” Zhou Yun roared. The last dozen or so were all postnatal experts, able to channel spiritual power into their weapons and unleash blade or sword auras.

They exchanged glances, then left only two men to guard Zhou Yun while the others drew their weapons and charged at Ye Feng.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Spiritual power raged, sword energy slashed in all directions. Yet… they still couldn’t touch him.

Ye Feng’s figure weaved through the blades and swords, instantly breaking through. The dozen postnatal experts behind him froze, and then, all their heads exploded.

Wiping the blood from his face, Ye Feng looked at the trembling Zhou Yun and said, “Still got splattered—even postnatal experts are a bit troublesome…”
