"Finally, we've escaped."

High up in a maple tree, Vivian watched the werewolves race past below and let out a sigh of relief, deactivating her concealment magic.

"Where are we?" she asked, her voice tinged with worry. "Could we have stumbled into the kingdom of the werewolves?"

"Impossible!"

Reinhardt shook his head, his face pale as he scrutinized the surrounding maple trees and deciduous forest. "This is the Dwarf Kingdom. I visited here when I was a child; I recognize these trees."

Both of them then turned their gazes toward Lin Lei.

"What?" Lin Lei was munching on an apple—heaven knows where he had gotten it from.

That, however, was not the issue at hand.

"Why did they call you 'Master'?" the two asked.

"How would I know?" Lin Lei chewed on his apple. He truly had no idea, though he suspected it might have something to do with some sort of demigod.

"Don't worry about it..." Lin Lei flicked the apple core away. "Those werewolves aren't strong at all. They aren't even worth the effort of fighting."

Vivian and Reinhardt stared at him. "How do you know that?"

"I just do." Lin Lei hopped down from the tree with effortless grace. Thanks to the Song of the Blue Sky, his vision had become far sharper. It was precisely because he could perceive the true power of others that he had been able to identify Caesar a few days ago.

*Threat level low. Threat level low.*

The Song of the Blue Sky also informed Lin Lei that the two on the tree were nothing but cannon fodder.

"Come on down, the werewolves are long gone," Lin Lei called out. Vivian and Reinhardt descended from the maple, brushed the leaves off their clothes, and followed Lin Lei as they headed out.

They hadn't traveled far when the faint sound of hoofbeats reached them from the distance. Vivian and Reinhardt jumped in alarm, grabbing Lin Lei and scrambling back up into a tree.

As the sound grew closer, Vivian looked over, her face lighting up.

"It's the dwarves!"

"This really is the Dwarf Kingdom!"

Reinhardt was equally overjoyed. Seven dwarves appeared on horseback, and the prince and princess scrambled down from the tree without a moment's hesitation.

"Greetings!"

"We’ve run into some trouble. Could you please take us out of here?"

Reinhardt and Vivian greeted the dwarves excitedly. As members of the Human Alliance, the dwarves had always been friendly toward humans.

"What are humans doing in a place like this..."

The seven dwarves looked at Vivian and Reinhardt with surprise. Why would young humans come to such a dangerous place?

Then, they spotted Lin Lei.

"The Demon King!"

"The Demon King of Werewolf Castle has appeared!"

The dwarves panicked, grabbing their swords and hammers. They stared at Lin Lei in terror, their wariness immediately extending to Vivian and Reinhardt as well.

"Humans, why are you with the Demon King?"

*Demon King?*

Reinhardt and Vivian shifted their gazes toward Lin Lei.

"I'm not the Demon King," Lin Lei said, completely bewildered. "My name is Lin Lei, and I am..."

"The little prince of the Forest Elves, right?" the dwarves sneered, then continued:

"You're the dream lover of every girl in the world!"

"The guy who relieves the loneliness of dwarven aunties!"

"Except for that last one..." Lin Lei nodded, "I'll accept the rest."

"Don't lie to us!!"

The dwarves flew into a rage. They brandished their weapons, glaring viciously at Lin Lei. "You Demon King, you lecher! You already fooled us two days ago; don't think you can do it again!"

Vivian gasped in shock. "What? He's a lecher?"

"Little girl, you’ve definitely been deceived!" The dwarves looked at Vivian. "He claimed to be an Elf Prince and ravaged the dwarven aunties in three different villages over the last two nights."

Lin Lei could no longer remain calm. "Hey, hey, don't go framing me! Why would I have any interest in aunties!"

Vivian moved a little further away from Lin Lei in disgust. The kind-hearted Reinhardt quickly waved his hands. "Impossible! You must have mistaken him for someone else. Why would the Supreme King do such a thing? Besides, he was with us for the past two days!"

"You were with him at night, too?"

"I remember now, he also likes handsome men!"

"My neighbor's nephew looks just like a girl, and he was ravaged by that guy the night before last, too!"

The dwarves shouted angrily. Reinhardt's face turned pale; he wasn't entirely sure if Lin Lei had been at the St. Valentine palace on those nights. He quickly stood beside Vivian, putting more distance between himself and Lin Lei.

The dwarves continued to glare at Lin Lei with unconcealed hatred. Lin Lei found it strange; these expressions didn't look like an act—it was genuine loathing.

"Are you absolutely sure you haven't got the wrong person?" Lin Lei asked again.

"See for yourself!"

"We have a wanted poster!"

Two dwarves tossed a wanted poster at him. Lin Lei picked it up and saw that it was indeed a drawing of him—even the mask was identical.

"..."

Vivian and Reinhardt’s gazes grew increasingly suspicious.

Lin Lei looked at the labels on the wanted poster: *Lecher, Demon King, Baby Killer*. "...What is this 'Baby Killer' supposed to mean?"

The dwarves' faces turned livid. The nerve of this guy to even ask!

"You ravaged our women and then forced them to take medicine so they wouldn't give birth to the children. If that doesn't make you a baby killer, what does?"

Lin Lei was stunned. Who on earth would do something so deranged and then impersonate him? No wonder the leopard had told him to bring guests along; if he hadn't had the prince and princess with him this time, it would have been nearly impossible to prove his innocence.

"This person is absolutely not me! Vivian, Reinhardt, please vouch for me!"

Lin Lei turned his head, only to see the prince and princess had already moved to the dwarves' side.

"I always felt you looked at me with ulterior motives—so you really are a lecher!" Vivian was full of rage; she had almost fallen for this lecher's tricks.

"Um... it's not that I don't believe you... but..." Reinhardt stammered, "I think I'd like to go verify things first..."

Lin Lei realized he had brought along two unreliable idiots.

And to make matters worse, at that very moment, the pack of werewolves came running back.

"Master is here!"

"Master, we're here to save you!"

The werewolves swarmed in, scaring the dwarves into a panicked retreat—and they dragged the two idiots away with them.

"Master, are you alright?"

The werewolves surrounded Lin Lei and knelt before him. Lin Lei looked at them. The "Master" these werewolves spoke of was the same "Demon King" the dwarves spoke of—the one who could ravage three villages of aunties in two nights. He certainly wasn't an ordinary person.

*A demigod...*

The word popped into Lin Lei's mind. He was almost certain that a demigod was using his identity to stir up trouble and framing him for the crimes. Even worse, since werewolves were currently the enemies of the world, it was clear that the demigod wanted to tie Lin Lei to them. It was a cunning plan indeed.

But why would these werewolves treat a demigod as their master?
