Chapter 150: Even If I Have to Fight Naked, I Will Defeat You
A scent of blood lingered in the camp, where severely wounded soldiers lay groaning on the ground.
Paladins rushed about in a panic to rescue the injured. Those unable to continue fighting were carried onto the lifts and evacuated from the battlefield.
However, some chose to stay. Alongside those with minor injuries who could return to combat after treatment, there were those so grievously wounded that even transportation was impossible.
Lin Lei’s gaze swept across these dying soldiers, and a surge of anger welled up within him. He clenched his fist slightly, crushing the weakness in his heart—he could not afford to be weak.
"Your Majesty..."
A Night Elf with a pierced chest clutched Lin Lei’s hand. "Could you take a message back home for me?"
Lin Lei lowered his eyes. "You are not going to die."
The Night Elf forced a strained smile. He knew he was going to die; the injury was simply too severe. Even with their astonishing resilience, death was inevitable.
"Your Majesty, I hope..."
"I said, you are not going to die!"
Lin Lei stood up, closing his eyes in profound grief. "I will heal you, I will definitely heal you!"
These elves were his subordinates, no one else—they were the people he had brought here!
Lin Lei would not allow what was his to perish so easily!
"Think back to Her Majesty's spells... I must find something useful!"
Lin Lei began to recall Winnie's magic.
He had listened to Winnie's spell explanations in his childhood and had also witnessed her healing magic. He remembered the sensation; he was bound to draw inspiration from those spells.
"O Holy Light, heed my call!"
A vast, warm spiritual energy radiated outward from Lin Lei, slowly enveloping the camp. Everyone looked at Lin Lei in astonishment.
Suddenly, a tiny golden flame materialized before him. Yet, like a prairie fire, it began to spread, gradually dyeing the entire camp in golden hues.
"Life Binding!"
The mages looked on in shock at the dense swarm of Holy Light flames in the air, resembling fireflies. These flames, springing from thin air, connected with Lin Lei's spirit and fell like raindrops upon the wounded.
"Th-This is..."
"My wounds..."
The heavily wounded lying on the ground felt the warmth of the Holy Light. Their injured areas were enveloped by the golden radiance, and their rapidly fading life force gradually stabilized.
"Why does the young prince know priest magic?!"
Eve was utterly shocked. She knew that Life Binding was a priest's most renowned mass healing spell, capable of arresting the deterioration of injuries, but only middle-to-high-tier priests could use it.
"The Queen probably taught him..."
"After all, the Queen is the kingdom's most powerful priest."
The mages replied. In Lin Lei, they seemed to see Winnie's shadow.
Winnie was the strongest priest in the kingdom. Had she been here, the entire battlefield would have turned into her infirmary—though Lin Lei lacked her immense power, he had successfully unleashed the healing properties inherent in the Holy Light.
A silver-white figure soared up from the Dark Portal.
"Where is that expert?" Grove looked toward the Alliance camp and paused slightly. "Turns out it's that brat!"
Damn it, why did it have to be this brat?
Rage surged in Grove’s heart. He had heard from other werewolves that His Highness had engaged in a fierce battle lasting several hours against an opponent who was a true warrior, a swordsman full of honor.
But why did it have to be this brat?
Why did this brat always use such despicable tricks against him?
"Brat! Get up here, I want a duel!" Grove blurted out angrily. "Today I must wash away the humiliation you inflicted upon me!"
Within the camp, the Holy Light gradually faded.
"Take them away!"
Exhausted, Lin Lei could only stabilize the critical conditions of the severely wounded, but it was enough to have them transported to Carlos City for treatment.
He turned and looked up at Grove in the sky.
"Young Highness, you've expended too much power; now is not the time for battle."
The mages stepped forward in a hurry to stop him.
"It's fine."
Lin Lei shook his head. He felt as though he was on the verge of a breakthrough, and a battle right now was by no means a bad thing.
With a leap, Lin Lei flew directly in front of Grove.
Grove burst into laughter. "Brat, come and give me a real fight!"
"..." Lin Lei looked at the werewolf swordmaster, the Blueshift singing out from his palm. "If you can block my Solitary Sword Technique, then you can talk to me about everything else."
Grove's expression froze, but Lin Lei struck with blinding speed. Before the werewolf swordmaster could react, Lin Lei had already slashed down with his sword.
"Solitary Sword Technique!"
An arc of golden light engulfed Grove. Grove raised his sword to parry, but before the golden light could land, it suddenly split into three in mid-air, striking Grove simultaneously from the front, above, and below.
"Wh—"
Grove was taken aback. When did this brat learn this trick?
No matter, he could still dodge!
"Wind Sword!"
Grove slashed forward, and leveraging the force of the sword qi, his body shot backward. Two streaks of golden light brushed past his body, and only the front-most streak grazed him.
Yet this streak of light was insufficient to breach his armor—Grove swung his sword once more; this time, he would definitely teach Lin Lei a lesson!
"Wait, no!"
Suddenly, Grove stopped.
A chilling, deeply uncomfortable sensation spread across his entire body—"My Silver-Scale Cuirass!"
"Why..."
The werewolf swordmaster stared at Lin Lei in disbelief. "My second-generation Silver-Scale Cuirass clearly can absorb Holy Light!"
Lin Lei put away the Blueshift. "What I use is not purely Holy Light."
No matter how effective armor was against the Holy Light, it had to be discounted against his true qi.
The swordmaster was consumed by grief and indignation. "I don't care anymore!"
Throwing all caution to the wind, battle aura ignited across his entire body. "Even naked, I will defeat you!"
The werewolf swordmaster charged at Lin Lei, a lone warrior with his blade.
Lin Lei soared high into the air. Suddenly, he felt something was amiss. His gaze swept rapidly across the Dark Portal; Philip's figure was nowhere to be found near it.
"When?!"
Lin Lei drew in a sharp breath, his eyes surveying the battlefield. Where? Where had Philip gone?
He could not spot Philip's figure, which meant Philip was no longer on the battlefield.
To be precise, he was not on the surface, but underground—while Lin Lei and Grove were fighting, Philip had already arrived before a fully constructed, gigantic robot.
"Is this what the goblins were hiding?"
He stared in shock at the colossal behemoth lying before him. This steel weapon exuded a breathtaking beauty, and the energy contained within its core was terrifyingly vast. With such a magnificent creation in their possession, the goblins hadn't even bothered to inform the werewolves.
"Despicable, that belongs to us!"
Off to the side, the dwarves stood in the distance, shouting curses.
Philip’s cold gaze swept over them. "Do you wish to taste my sword again?"
The dwarves immediately retreated in panic. Even Bale felt a tremor of fear; this man's swordsmanship was simply too terrifying. The dwarves had been on the verge of claiming the mecha immediately after dealing with the goblins and werewolves here.
Yet Philip had appeared out of nowhere, repelling them all with a single strike.
"I'm in a good mood right now. Scram quickly, or I'll kill you!"
Philip opened the cockpit and stepped inside. Having grasped the power of essence, no one on this battlefield—not even that elf—would be his opponent anymore.
The victory of the battle had been sealed the moment he made his breakthrough.
Right now, Philip was far more interested in this mecha.
He inspected the cockpit. There were no control sticks, only four buttons devoid of labels. Goblin technology was truly advanced; the operating method turned out to be this simple.
Philip pressed the first button.
"Kimi no sugata wa boku ni niteiru..."
