“Wang Xiaoshi, damn it, let Xiaohui go right now, or I’ll kill without mercy!”

Arriving at the gates of Wang Xiaoshi’s master’s residence in the Qitian Sect, Wu Tian roared furiously.

The grounds of the Qitian Sect were vast; anyone with the slightest renown had their own abode. Elder-level figures, for instance, possessed their own residences. Wang Xiaoshi and Qin Long’s master was one such elder—not particularly high-ranked, yet still entitled to the privileges of that status.

Now, Wu Tian was bellowing in front of their estate, where both servants and fellow disciples witnessed his arrival.

“Isn’t that the famous good-for-nothing of the Qitian Sect? I heard he’d already left—why has he come back now?” Some disciples whispered nearby, their voices laced with ridicule.

Boom! With a thunderous crash, the disciple mocking Wu Tian was sent flying, slamming hard into a wall and collapsing instantly like a dead dog.

“Damn it! Even if I am your senior brother, don’t you idiots know basic manners?” Wu Tian glared fiercely at everyone present, his whole being exuding an aura of dominance.

The disciples were intimidated; only the strong carried such presence.

“Wu… Wu Tian! This is the elder’s residence—how dare you barge in without reporting—”

Bang! Before the words could finish, Wu Tian sent him flying.

That disciple was already at the eighth level of Martial Apprentice, yet was kicked away effortlessly, left half-dead on the ground.

“Outrageous! How dare you trespass in the elder’s residence—do you think nothing of us guards—”

Another thunderous crash followed; several guards who protected the elder’s estate were all knocked aside.

Wu Tian strode into the house, searching for Wang Xiaoshi. Anyone who blocked his way was sent flying.

Wu Tian was no longer the powerless man he once was. Now, he had reached the tenth level of Martial Master. Disciples who hadn’t even reached the first level of Martial Master couldn’t withstand a single punch from him. Even the estate’s guards at Martial Master level were nothing in Wu Tian’s eyes.

As Wu Tian continued to overturn disciples, eight guards clad in armor and armed with spears charged forward. These were the elite, core defenders of the elder’s estate; none among them ranked below the first level of Martial Master, and the strongest had reached the fifth level.

“Wu Tian, you dare!” The guard captain, Xiong Gang, shouted at Wu Tian, who was still wreaking havoc.

Wu Tian’s brows furrowed, his aura undiminished as he retorted, “Do you have the right to address me by name? You’re merely a servant in Qitian Sect, and now you can’t even distinguish master from servant?”

Though there were many separate branches within the Qitian Sect, Xiong Gang was just a guard of this elder’s estate—a servant of the elder, expected to show utmost respect to all Qitian Sect disciples, even those not of this residence.

Now, not only did Xiong Gang show no respect, but he confronted Wu Tian with arrogance—largely because Wu Tian had been a useless nobody a year ago.

Ever since Wu Tian’s cultivation was destroyed and his master perished, he’d lost all respect in the Qitian Sect. Everyone treated him as a worthless failure. In a place where strength was paramount, why revere someone who had none?

“Hmph! Wu Tian, you’re nothing but a useless waste in Qitian Sect. Why shouldn’t I address you by name? In fact, you don’t deserve to stay in Qitian Sect—you’re unworthy of being a disciple!” Xiong Gang pointed at Wu Tian, his face full of contempt.

Wu Tian laughed coldly, a flash of icy light in his eyes. “Ha! Unworthy? Good. Today I’ll show you what it means to be unworthy!”

“Such arrogance!” Xiong Gang scoffed, showing no concern for Wu Tian.

At that moment, the Black Dragon Blade appeared in Wu Tian’s right hand. He infused his inner energy into the blade, which immediately began to tremble. A tremendous aura erupted from Wu Tian’s body.

Xiong Gang curled his lip dismissively. “A broken, blunt blade—suits a failure like you.”

Whoosh!

Before Xiong Gang could finish, a sharp gust whistled before him. His expression changed drastically, but it was too late to dodge.

Crack! Boom!

Xiong Gang’s chest armor shattered as he was hurled backward, slamming heavily into the wall. The thick wall was smashed open by his body.

Though his chest had been protected by armor, it was now in tatters. A bloody gash crossed his torso, blood flowing freely.

Everyone watching was stunned. If Wu Tian’s earlier defeat of weaker disciples was shocking, this was monstrous. Xiong Gang’s cultivation had reached the fourth level of Martial Master, yet Wu Tian nearly killed him with a single strike—and seemed to have held back. What else but a monster could do this?

“You… you… how… how are you so strong?” Xiong Gang stammered, pointing at Wu Tian, unsure if his speechlessness was due to his injuries or pure disbelief.

“Didn’t you say I had no place in Qitian Sect? What about now?” Wu Tian squinted at Xiong Gang.

Xiong Gang spat a mouthful of blood, then his head rolled to the side as he fainted.

The remaining guards glared warily at Wu Tian, who swept his gaze over them and asked, “Who else?”

Wu Tian’s tone was calm, yet brimmed with dominance. The guards swallowed nervously, beads of sweat forming on their brows.

“Out of my way!” Wu Tian growled.

The guards quickly scattered like frightened rabbits, clearing a path for Wu Tian.

“Good—you know your place. I won’t kill you today.”

Wu Tian left them with these words and strode deeper into the estate, still seething. Unable to find Wang Xiaoshi, he grabbed a disciple and demanded, “Tell me—where is your senior brother Wang Xiaoshi?”

“In… in the back courtyard!” This disciple, only at the fifth level of Martial Apprentice, didn’t dare defy Wu Tian.

Without hesitation, Wu Tian charged toward the rear, kicking open the courtyard gate.

The disciples and guards in the front courtyard stared at Wu Tian in disbelief.

“Is… is this really that useless fellow whose meridians were severed and whose dantian destroyed? He nearly killed Guard Xiong, a fourth-level Martial Master, with a single blade. Is he a monster?”

“He seems even stronger than before his cultivation was ruined. It’s as if Qitian Sect’s number one genius has returned.”

“No—it’s not just ‘as if.’ He’s definitely stronger!”

As Wu Tian rushed toward the back courtyard, the disciples discussed in shock, unable to calm their hearts.

With another crash, Wu Tian kicked the back courtyard gate to pieces.

“Wang Xiaoshi, get out here—now!”
