Early this morning, I encountered two unusual characters. I wasn’t sure whether to feel happy or troubled. Just now, I used my mind-reading ability to take a quick peek, and it turns out this handsome man really is here to rent an apartment. However, his mannerisms made me somewhat uneasy.

Seeing this handsome man’s exaggerated behavior, Zheng Qi’s face immediately drooped. Though others had mocked his looks behind his back before, he had never witnessed anyone lose their composure so openly like this.

Just as Zheng Qi was about to lose his temper, I hurriedly intervened, saying, “Zheng Qi, don’t take it personally; he just misspoke accidentally.”

Because of his unattractive appearance, Zheng Qi had been bullied many times since childhood. His mental resilience and tolerance were far greater than most. Though he shot the handsome man a fierce glare, he managed to hold back his anger.

“Oh dear, so sorry! I really didn’t mean it!” The handsome man pinched his fingers delicately and smiled at Zheng Qi. “I just thought you looked a lot like a famous figure from a middle school history textbook, that’s why I was so surprised!”

Hearing the coquettish tone and the exaggerated, drawn-out rhotic endings, I felt goosebumps all over and wished I could immediately stuff cotton into my ears. Otherwise, if I had to listen much longer, I feared my ears might give out.

“You say I look like a historical figure? Was he a treacherous minister or a virtuous one? Or maybe a great poet?” Zheng Qi paused for a moment, curious.

Zheng Qi had only ever heard people say he looked like a dinosaur; no one had ever compared him to a historical figure before. Although he knew this flamboyant character wouldn’t say anything flattering, he couldn’t help but ask.

“The one on page one of the first volume of the middle school history textbook. Oh, very famous, indeed.” The handsome man put on his sunglasses, then turned to look at Zheng Qi as if the sight would blind him.

“Page one of the first volume of the middle school history textbook…” Zheng Qi murmured while trying to recall which historical figure it could be. But as he thought harder, his expression grew increasingly stiff. I could hear his teeth grinding from two meters away.

My middle school history wasn’t bad. If I remembered correctly, it covered the development of human civilization. The first page of the first volume, in chronological order, would depict prehistoric human civilization. That portrait must be… an early hominid.

I almost burst out laughing at this thought. This womanly-looking handsome man’s words were cutting, even though he hadn’t uttered a single curse. His insults were somehow more unbearable.

“You, sissy, didn’t you escape from a psychiatric hospital? If I didn’t think you had something wrong with your brain, I’d give you a good beating,” Zheng Qi said, rolling up his sleeves, clearly catching the insult’s meaning.

“Pfft, pfft, pfft! You’re the sissy! I’m a genuine, real man.” The handsome man was startled as Zheng Qi threatened him, taking quick, tiny steps to hide behind me, though he still wouldn’t admit defeat.

“Alright, let’s keep the peace. It’s just a misunderstanding—no need to resort to violence,” I quickly played the peacemaker.

“Zheng Qi, you keep putting up your sign here. I’ll take the client elsewhere to discuss.” Even though their squabble was entertaining, I didn’t want it to get out of hand and drag me down with them.

“You’re a foul-mouthed sissy. Even if I let you off this time, someone will deal with you eventually,” Zheng Qi glared at the handsome man, speaking with venom.

I actually agreed with that. With the attitude and sharp tongue this guy had, he must have offended plenty of people. It wouldn’t be surprising if one day someone decided to teach him a lesson. After all, not everyone would be so forgiving.

“Oh dear, a person with taste and class like me cannot stand anything ugly. It’s truly a disappointment,” the handsome man said, waving his small hands in front of his face with a look of disgust.

“Sir, if you want to rent or buy a house, why not come to our office? We can sit down and talk in detail,” I said, trying to fulfill my duties as an agent despite his eccentric behavior.

“Oh dear, no need for such trouble. Let’s just talk in my car. I don’t want to walk too far or I’ll get tanned,” the handsome man pouted, showing reluctance.

“Alright, then let’s talk in your car,” I forced a smile, reluctantly agreeing.

“That’s more like it! I’ve got some good stuff in my car, too,” he winked sweetly.

He drove an imported Porsche sports car, more expensive than my BMW 730, with even more exquisite interior decorations. As soon as I got inside, I was enveloped in a fragrant aroma and surrounded by colorful decorations.

Most of them were Hello Kitty plush toys, some taller than half a person, others no bigger than a child’s palm. The relatively spacious four-seater was packed full, and just by opening my eyes, I could count at least five Hello Kittys.

“Oh dear, look at my precious babies—aren’t they beautiful? These are all limited editions I bought abroad. They’re my little darlings,” the handsome man said, picking up the largest Hello Kitty from the back seat, hugging it, and giving it a kiss in a coquettish tone.

I wiped the sweat from my forehead, forcing a stiff smile. I was beginning to regret getting into this car. This man, more effeminate than a woman, was constantly pushing my limits.

“Sir, my name is Zhang Wei. May I ask your name? What kind of work do you do?” I asked.

“Oh dear, can’t you tell just by looking at me dressed like this?” he said, pinching his fingers and letting out a coquettish hum.

Though he didn’t state his profession, I used my mind-reading ability to discern it and said, “Judging by your stylish clothes, you must be a stylist!”

“Oh dear, my little handsome guy, you’re amazing!” The handsome man was thrilled that I had guessed his profession from his fashion sense, trembling with delight.

“My name is Aben. I’m an internationally renowned stylist. You can call me Little Ben!” he said with a playful laugh, growing even closer to me after I guessed correctly. “Oh dear, can I call you Little Wei Wei?”

“Hehe, of course,” I managed to keep smiling, though goosebumps covered me. I never imagined anyone would call me “Little Wei Wei” in my life.

“Aben, what kind of house are you looking to rent? How many bedrooms, what price range?” I asked, eager to wrap up the conversation.

“Oh dear, I told you, it’s not really me renting. It’s a good girlfriend of mine,” Aben pouted mysteriously. “Here’s a little secret—my girlfriend is a big star!”

“A big star!” I was surprised at first, but considering Aben’s career as a stylist, it made sense. Stylists and celebrities often work closely, and with his flamboyant personality, it wasn’t strange for him to be friends with a female star.

“Of course! She’s the dream girl of countless fans. If you can guess who she is, I might just get you her autograph!” Aben pinched his fingers, humming and swaying, speaking in a sweet, teasing tone.
