Tomorrow marks the official release, a result delayed by over half a month.

Originally, the launch was scheduled for October. Seeing that the performance metrics were quite promising, I decided to vie for the new book monthly ticket ranking, pushing the date back to November 1st. Now that the release is imminent, the soaring ambition I once held has been instantly drenched by a bucket of cold water, chilling me to the bone.

I am up against heavyweight authors—and damn it, a whole bunch of them.

A pathetic sense of self-inflicted torment naturally wells up inside me.

With elite authors crowding the release schedule, how are small-fry underdogs like us supposed to survive? Should I huddle in a corner, drawing circles on the ground to curse them for a bit of solace? Or perhaps...

I have never dared to dream of competing with them, let alone talk about "slaying the gods." Of course, if my readers wish to go wild and create a miracle, I am more than willing to meet a tragic end, even if failure leaves me exposed to mockery and ridicule.

Call it biting off more than one can chew, or call it sheer madness. The act of striving, at times, is a driving force in its own right.

Striving is not about comparing oneself to others. It is about giving oneself a reason to fight.

I want to fight for a spot on the new book monthly ticket ranking. Launching on November 1st, I hope that friends who enjoy this novel will not only subscribe but also support me with monthly tickets, giving me a glimpse of hope and the courage to fight.
