Chapter One Hundred: The Duel with the Venerable Immortal Huang
“Kill them…”
In the winding corridor, the weasel demons scurried about like headless flies. The moment Li Yunfei and his group appeared, they instantly surged forward like they were injected with adrenaline, brandishing spears and swords, howling as they charged.
Some of the weasel demons, without a word, turned around, lifted their tails, and directly released foul gas.
Li Yunfei sneered coldly. Trying that trick on him was useless; the same move wouldn’t work twice.
Without waiting for Li Yunfei’s command, the skeleton warriors leapt high, avoiding the charging weasel demons ahead, and lunged toward those releasing the gas.
“Pfft, pfft, pfft…”
“Ah…”
“Ugh…”
Though enveloped in the yellow mist, the skeleton warriors showed no reaction. Their footwork shifted swiftly, sword light flashing continuously, and the weasel demons emitting gas were pierced one after another, collapsing to the ground.
Seeing this, the other weasel demons immediately swarmed to surround the skeleton warriors, but their weapons proved useless against the attacks.
Their weapons, made of common iron, could hardly withstand the flying swords.
Whether steel knives, sharp swords, iron spears, or copper staves, any weapon crossing the path of the bloodthirsty flying swords was cleaved in two.
Normally, these minor fiends shouldn’t even possess weapons, as there’s no supply source. These common iron weapons were likely just system-given props to fill the scene, like mere decorations.
Only boss-level entities like the Great Weasel Immortal, with profound cultivation, could use rare materials or even parts of their own bodies to forge magical weapons or divine tools.
But apart from the Great Weasel Immortal and a few elite lieutenants near her who possessed cultivation equivalent to the Yin Spirit Realm, no other minor demons could wield such divine weapons.
Now the weasel demons were dumbfounded; their strongest tactics failed against their enemy. How were they supposed to fight?
“Damn… ugh… cough, cough, cough…”
Li Yunfei realized he had been careless. Although, after taking the Yellow Immortal Pill, he was immune to the weasel demons’ poisonous gas,
the gas not only caused dizziness and unconsciousness but also carried a terrible stench!
The foul smell was both nauseating and suffocating. Li Yunfei was forced to retreat repeatedly, dry heaving and coughing uncontrollably.
Red Red had already closed her mouth and nose, switching to internal breathing as the yellow mist spread. She glanced sideways at Li Yunfei, and despite herself, a smile tugged at the corner of her lips.
Helpless, Li Yunfei activated the Xun trigram, conjuring a strong wind to blow away the yellow fog.
Afterwards, he looked at Red Red with a hint of grievance and grumbled, “You little brat, couldn’t you have warned me?”
Red Red blinked innocently and replied, “It’s common knowledge that weasel farts are really stinky. I thought Master Brother already knew!”
---
Li Yunfei rolled his eyes, having no choice but to vent his frustration on the weasel demons. The bloodthirsty flying swords transformed into streaks of crimson light, darting through the crowd of weasel demons, piercing one chest after another.
Without the poisonous gas to aid them, the weasel demons were even weaker than the black zombies and were quickly wiped out.
After eliminating this group, Li Yunfei absorbed their blood with his sword, gathered the spoils, and with Red Red, shifted their positions, instantly appearing in another corridor.
As each corridor was cleared, their experience surged dramatically. The skeleton warriors’ levels soared, Li Yunfei and Red Red each leveled up by one, while the skeleton warriors gained nearly two levels.
By the time most of the outer minor demons were slain, Li Yunfei and Red Red had both reached level 46; the skeleton warriors had broken through the level 40 barrier, reaching level 42.
Li Yunfei’s stamina multiplied by 27 times, and the number of skeleton warriors increased from 15 to 17.
Finally, it was time for the decisive battle with the Great Weasel Immortal.
Li Yunfei exchanged a glance with Red Red and asked, “Ready?”
The little girl raised her purple-gold hammer excitedly. “I’m ready to smash their faces any time.”
Li Yunfei twitched the corner of his mouth. Those faces were already beyond saving—why bother smashing them?
Turning his gaze back to the mountain wall before them, Li Yunfei didn’t immediately teleport inside this time. Instead, he cast a spell to open a hole in the rock face.
Then, carrying a strong wind, he stepped through, with Red Red close at his side.
After the 17 skeleton warriors entered, they split left and right, spreading out behind Li Yunfei.
Here, more than 300 elite demons occupied the cramped space, all were wolf-headed, muscular and powerful weasel demons far stronger than the minor ones outside.
The Great Weasel Immortal and four lieutenants—each noticeably larger than the other weasel demons—stood on a roughly three-meter-high earth platform, looking coldly at Li Yunfei’s group.
As Li Yunfei’s group fully entered, a robust weasel demon with claw blades on both arms pointed forward and shouted angrily, “Kill!”
“Kill…”
Three hundred elite demons responded in unison, surging forward like a rabid swarm.
They no longer played the farting trick. The relentless strong wind was a tailwind for Li Yunfei’s group but a headwind for them, rendering their signature move useless.
Li Yunfei narrowed his eyes silently. He raised his left hand and swung it heavily. The skeleton warriors pointed their long swords diagonally downward and silently charged forward.
A half-meter square earth platform slowly rose beneath their feet, lifting Li Yunfei and Red Red up, facing the Great Weasel Immortal and her four lieutenants across a distance of twenty meters.
Neither side made the first move, merely locking eyes in a tense standoff.
“Ding ding… shhh…”
---
Though the weasel demons below were stronger than the minor ones and possessed decent cultivation, allowing them to infuse their weapons with demonic power to avoid being easily broken,
they still couldn’t stand before level 42 skeleton warriors.
Three hundred nameless foot soldiers facing seventeen peerless generals like Lü Bu and Guan Yu? They were simply no match.
A mocking smile played on Li Yunfei’s lips. Seeing their kin slaughtered mercilessly, the Great Weasel Immortal and her lieutenants began to lose their composure.
The Great Weasel Immortal silently turned her head slightly. One lieutenant immediately understood.
The lieutenant stretched out his left arm, and the claw blade on it suddenly detached, glowing with a rich earthy yellow light as it flew toward a skeleton warrior.
Without waiting for Li Yunfei’s command, Red Red threw out her purple-gold hammer.
Guided by her spiritual consciousness, the small hammer transformed into a streak of purple lightning, arriving first in the battle. It spun and struck the claw blade, knocking it flying before it could hit the skeleton warrior.
“Boom!”
“Pfft…”
The collision of the purple-gold hammer and claw blade produced a fierce explosive sound.
The lieutenant who wielded the claw blade spat out a mouthful of blood instantly and staggered back several steps on the platform, his face filled with shock.
“So… such a ferocious weapon.”
The Great Weasel Immortal’s expression darkened. She threw aside her dragon-headed staff and shouted angrily, “Attack together!”
Then she pointed forward, and two white beams of light shot straight toward Li Yunfei.
The other three lieutenants attacked simultaneously—one targeting Red Red, the other two aiming at the skeleton warriors below.
All their weapons were claw blades, likely their own claws refined into unique divine tools.
Li Yunfei watched closely. The two white beams the Great Weasel Immortal summoned were exquisite daggers no longer than eight inches.
“Hmph…”
Li Yunfei snorted disdainfully, waved his hand, and sent out a purple-gold hammer to meet the daggers.
Just as they were about to collide, the two daggers nimbly parted left and right, dodging the hammer but continuing to fly straight at Li Yunfei.
