“This one shall be called the Meridian-Reforming Pill.”
“And this one… let’s call it the Marrow-Washing Pill.”
As Li Yunfei packed the pills, he enthusiastically pasted labels onto the porcelain bottles, giving them names entirely different from their original ones.
The so-called Meridian-Reforming Pills were actually Strength Pills, while the Marrow-Washing Pills were Blood Pills. Soul Pills became Spirit-Refining Pills, and Pig King Pills were renamed Origin-Restoring Pills.
The Hundred Serpent Pills were given the grand name “Hundred-Spirit Snow-Beauty Pills.” The Spirit Serpent Pills retained their original name; there was nothing wrong with it.
“What name should we give the Agility Pills?”
Honghong, licking an ice-cream cone, answered casually, “Why not call them Gale Pills or Lightning Pills? Simple and straightforward.”
Li Yunfei shook his head repeatedly. “No, no. Those names sound like temporary buff pills that merely add a status effect.”
“The Agility Pills enhance one’s attributes from the very foundation. The name doesn’t have to be perfectly accurate, but it must at least be related. Most importantly, it has to sound impressive.”
After pondering for a long while, Li Yunfei finally wrote three words on the bottle’s label: “Pure Spirit Pill.”
Pills that increased the four basic attributes could only be taken in quantities of five or ten, so he did not need many of them. The Hundred Serpent Pills and Spirit Serpent Pills, however, required large doses before their medicinal effects could be brought to their full potential.
For that reason, he prepared twenty fist-sized porcelain bottles, containing a total of three hundred and twenty pills.
Li Yunfei had personally experienced their effects before. Both the Hundred Serpent Pills and the Spirit Serpent Pills required one hundred and sixty pills each to unleash their full potency.
For Zhang Ziying, he prepared five Blood Pills, ten Soul Pills, five Strength Pills, five Agility Pills, fifty Pig King Pills, one hundred and sixty Enhanced Hundred Serpent Pills, and one hundred and sixty Enhanced Spirit Serpent Pills.
When buying the porcelain bottles, Li Yunfei had also purchased a wooden case specially designed to hold them. Inside were individual recesses that secured the bottles in place and kept them from falling and shattering.
After packing the pills, Li Yunfei used a portable safe to carry a box of spirit stones. Each stone weighed five hundred grams, and there were one hundred in all—a total of fifty kilograms, equivalent to more than two years of Zhang Ziying’s cultivation-resource allowance.
Finally, there were the magical weapons.
One Wolf-Fang Dagger and one Purple-Gold Hammer. As for whether he should prepare a Bloodthirsty Flying Sword as well, Li Yunfei hesitated.
The main issue was that he did not know whether Zhang Ziying could accept a weapon that harmed others for one’s own benefit and appeared somewhat evil by nature.
But after thinking it over carefully, he realized that if she was merely sparring with fellow cultivators, ordinary weapons would be enough. Even if magical weapons became necessary, the Wolf-Fang Dagger and Purple-Gold Hammer were more than sufficient.
And if she were fighting an enemy, what room was there for morality? If a weapon could kill the enemy while strengthening its wielder, why not use it?
Yes, that was exactly how it was. If Yingzi objected, he would persuade her with that reasoning.

With that decision made, Li Yunfei promptly took out a long wooden case and placed the Bloodthirsty Flying Sword inside.
He would never dare reveal the Green Venom Flying Sword. It harmed others without benefiting its wielder, and it was exceptionally cruel and terrifying. Most people would likely find it difficult to accept.
Just as he was nearly finished preparing everything, the phone that had been charging suddenly rang. When he picked it up, he saw that the caller was Zhang Ziying.
The corners of Li Yunfei’s mouth curved upward as he answered with a laugh. “You called at just the right time. I’m preparing gifts for you right now! Could this be the legendary meeting of hearts?”
Zhang Ziying was delighted by his words and replied cheerfully, “At least you know how to behave. What have you prepared? It isn’t just a few tons of meat, is it?”
Li Yunfei laughed heartily. “That’s only an extra. It’s the least valuable part. As for what I’ve actually prepared, you’ll find out when we meet tomorrow.”
Zhang Ziying cried out in astonishment, “A few tons of demon-beast meat are only an extra? Have you struck it rich?”
“I did have a few fortuitous encounters,” Li Yunfei said. “It’s hard to explain in just a few words. Brother Bin contacted me yesterday, and I gave him a general report. I didn’t tell him that I’d already gotten in touch with you. Don’t worry—the things in my possession all have clean origins.”
Zhang Ziying relaxed. “Where are you now? Have you already started heading this way?”
Li Yunfei laughed. “I’ve already arrived. I’m staying at the Baling Grand Hotel.”
Zhang Ziying was overjoyed. “Tell me your room number. I’ll come over at once.”
“Aren’t you only supposed to have your day off tomorrow?” Li Yunfei asked in surprise.
“Oh, please. Have you never gone to school? Can’t someone go home the night before a day off?”
Realizing what she meant, Li Yunfei immediately gave her his room number. She hurriedly ended the call, informed her instructor, and left.
After learning of the existence of demon-beast meat from Li Yunfei that day, she had specifically sought out her instructor to ask about it.
Demon-beast meat had indeed become a form of cultivation resource. The logistics division of the Purple Heaven Mysterious Group was collecting it, and private parties were doing the same. In fact, an entirely new profession had emerged from it: demon-beast hunters.
Demon-beast hunters were centered around a small number of powerful civilian superhumans who did not wish to join the Purple Heaven Group. Once registered with the organization, they could recruit manpower, enter the mountains to hunt demon beasts, and exchange the meat with the Purple Heaven Group for spirit stones and other cultivation resources, including divine weapons and magical artifacts.
In return, the superhumans paid the ordinary members of their teams extremely generous sums of money.
The leaders of demon-beast-hunting organizations were all superhumans and formed the core of the teams’ combat strength.
Most of the team members, however, were ordinary people, much like mercenaries. Although inferior to superhumans, they still possessed a certain degree of fighting ability.
After registering with the Purple Heaven Group, they could obtain weapons supplied by the organization—weapons capable of inflicting serious damage on demon beasts.
These included various firearms and bullets engraved with Evil-Breaking Runes, grenades blessed by powerful cultivators and imbued with the power to dispel evil, and powerful single-use talismanic artifacts.

Of course, none of these supplies were free. The size of each organization was also restricted, and everyone who joined a demon-beast-hunting group had to undergo a strict political background check.
The regulations governing demon-beast hunters were similar to those that had once applied to licensed professional hunters, though considerably stricter.
If anyone caused trouble—for example, by harming civilians—they would face the Purple Heaven Group’s harshest punishment.
In the past, hunting protected animals was called poaching and was against the law. Now, however, people were hunting under official authorization, and many had grown wealthy through the trade.
Some had also lost their lives while hunting demon beasts. High rewards always came with high risks.
Zhang Ziying had learned that the Purple Heaven Group purchased demon-beast meat at a price of three to five grams of spirit stones per kilogram, depending on its quality.
Even if the demon-beast meat in Li Yunfei’s possession met only the lowest standard, it was worth at least three grams of spirit stones per kilogram.
Several tons meant several thousand kilograms—worth tens of thousands of grams of spirit stones, or more than a hundred million in currency. And that was merely an extra. Just how wealthy had he become?
…
Less than half an hour later, Zhang Ziying knocked on Li Yunfei’s door.
The door opened almost immediately. To Zhang Ziying’s astonishment, the person who answered was a delicate, exquisitely pretty little girl with a face as flawless as porcelain.
She was just about to ask whether she had come to the wrong room when the little girl smiled sweetly, threw herself into her arms, and rubbed her tiny face against Zhang Ziying’s abdomen.
In a tender voice, she said, “Sister Yingzi, I missed you so much.”
“Uh… you… who are you?”
Zhang Ziying stared blankly, her mind in complete disarray.
If such a beautiful and adorable little girl had truly been her younger sister, she would naturally have adored her.
But she did not know this child at all! Yet the girl was clearly acting as though they were extremely familiar. What was going on?
She cautiously patted the little girl on the shoulder. “Um… I’m here to see Li Yunfei.”
Honghong slipped out of Zhang Ziying’s arms, took her hand, and pulled her into the room with a giggle.
“Big Brother is waiting for you! Come on!”
