Chapter 131: The Divine Deer Appears
A constant cracking sound reached Su Yizhao’s ears.
The sound of supreme-grade profound stones breaking!
Of the eighty million supreme-grade profound stones, hardly any remained.
Suddenly, his face lit up. He lowered his head and looked down.
The Eight Trigrams birthmark on his chest had begun to tremble.
Su Yizhao could not help growing excited.
Seventeen years!
The birthmark had been like a bottomless abyss, absorbing profound energy for seventeen years. Had it finally reached its limit?
He could not help sighing inwardly.
An ordinary person could never afford to sustain such a thing, even if they possessed the birthmark!
“Thrum, thrum, thrum...!”
The birthmark on his chest began vibrating violently.
A look of astonishment shot into Su Yizhao’s eyes.
This was different!
Completely different!
Could something unexpected be happening this time?
A trace of disappointment surfaced in his heart.
If he lost the birthmark and the Profound Qi Creation Art, then with his natural aptitude, he would never be able to reach his current level.
And without that, how could he ever ascend to the Upper Realm?
“Thrum, thrum, thrum...!”
An even more violent tremor instantly dragged his thoughts back to reality.
He clenched his teeth.
This was beyond his control. There was no point in thinking too much about it.
He might as well cherish the present.
Just as he thought this, a sharp pain struck his chest. The Eight Trigrams-shaped birthmark suddenly broke free of his body.
Su Yizhao fixed his eyes on the Eight Trigrams design.
Suddenly, his eyes widened.
The design had not split apart!
It had not split apart, nor had it transformed into a cultivation art!
Damn it!
Where was his technique?
He cursed inwardly.
At that moment, a wisp of blue smoke drifted out from the Eight Trigrams design floating in the air.
The smoke condensed before his eyes.
What... what was this?
Su Yizhao was dumbfounded.
Was that a deer?
As the blue smoke gathered, it became a tiny blue deer no larger than a fist.
The Eight Trigrams design flashed once and vanished, appearing instead on the little deer’s forehead.
The blue deer opened its eyes and carefully examined him.
Su Yizhao stared back at it.
Its head was slightly rounded, its long ears stood upright, its neck was slender, its limbs were thin and elongated, and its tail was short.
A pair of antlers rose from its head, each branching into four points, with the main stalks curving outward to either side...
It was unmistakably a stag!
Su Yizhao was utterly bewildered.
Suddenly, the little deer shook its head, opened its mouth, and inhaled sharply.
“Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...!”
The remaining million or so supreme-grade profound stones all rose into the air and were sucked into its belly like streams of water.
Su Yizhao was completely stunned.

Was this thing alive?
And had it been hiding inside his chest all this time, secretly absorbing profound energy?
He was just about to speak when the little deer beat him to it.
“Boy, what are you staring at? Never seen such a handsome divine deer before?”
Su Yizhao instantly came to his senses.
Damn it!
It had eaten his profound stones, stolen his cultivation art, and was still acting so smug?
He immediately shouted, “What the hell are you? Were you the one who stole my cultivation art? Give it back!”
The little deer froze.
This boy had some nerve!
Compared with his father’s patient and restrained nature, he was rather reckless.
Seeing the little deer fall silent, Su Yizhao became even more certain that it had stolen something from him. He immediately circulated his cultivation art and roared, “What are you spacing out for? Give it back, or I’ll beat you up!”
The little deer’s eyes widened.
After sleeping for a thousand years, waking up to this scene was rather awkward.
A little disappointed, it asked, “Boy, aren’t you going to ask who I am? Or why I appeared here?”
Su Yizhao’s anger vanished at once.
Of course!
If the birthmark had been left behind by his parents, then this little deer must know something!
He calmed himself and asked, “You are...?”
He simply could not bring himself to say, “Who.”
“What kind of deer are you?”
The little deer’s face took on an unmistakably proud expression.
“I am a divine deer. You may address me as Deer Lord!”
Su Yizhao was speechless.
A divine deer?
And Deer Lord?
You look like nothing more than a thief!
“Don’t believe me?” The little deer raised its head high. “Above the heavens and below the earth, in the Lower Realm and the Upper Realm, even beyond the Heavens Beyond and outside the starry sky, I, Deer Lord, am familiar with every place. My traces can be found everywhere. Boy, bow down before me!”
The little deer laughed inwardly.
I couldn’t deal with your father, but surely I can deal with you.
At last, I’ve vented all that pent-up resentment!
What a relief!
Su Yizhao looked thoroughly unconvinced.
He was certain that the Upper Realm existed, but what in the world were the Heavens Beyond and the realm beyond the stars?
He stared at the little deer’s fist-sized body.
Its traces could be found everywhere?
It would have to fool a ghost first!
Still, he could not expose it just yet.
He would first ask where the Upper Realm was, then reclaim the Profound Qi Creation Art.
As though he had suddenly realized something, Su Yizhao put on an astonished expression. He cupped his hands and said, “So you are the renowned divine deer, Deer Lord. May I ask how one travels to the Upper Realm?”
The divine deer looked immensely pleased with itself.
Ha!
If I had known this boy would be so entertaining, I should have woken up sooner.
“To reach the Upper Realm, naturally, you go upward!”
Su Yizhao was speechless.
Yet, after thinking it over, there was nothing technically wrong with that answer.
He cautiously asked, “Deer Lord, will you take me there?”
The divine deer nodded in agreement.
Su Yizhao was instantly overjoyed.
The Upper Realm! Xiuyue, I’m coming!
But then the divine deer drawled lazily, “Taking you there would normally be a trivial matter. However...”
Su Yizhao froze.
“However, what?”
A sly glint flashed through the divine deer’s eyes.
“However, you can’t go yet.”

Su Yizhao suppressed his anger and forced the words out through clenched teeth.
“Then when can I go?”
The divine deer replied, “When you become the strongest person on this continent.”
Su Yizhao: “...”
The divine deer sighed and said, “The cultivators of the Upper Realm are all ferocious beyond compare. If you go there now, you won’t even have the power to protect yourself.”
Su Yizhao cursed inwardly.
What nonsense!
Keep talking!
Once I become the strongest person on the continent, why would I still need you to take me there?
Damn it, I refuse to believe that everyone in the Upper Realm is born at the peak of the Seven Divine Realm.
Those aren’t people.
They’re gods!
Suddenly, he froze.
Gods?
This little deer called itself a divine deer. Could gods actually exist?
The divine deer’s mouth split into what looked like a smile.
“What? You don’t believe me?”
Su Yizhao was bewildered.
It was not that he did not believe it.
He simply did not dare to believe it.
Could gods truly exist in this world?
“Focus on cultivating first. Once you become the strongest person on the continent, you can go to the Upper Realm. I’m going to rest now!”
Su Yizhao was dumbfounded.
Rest?
Where was it going to rest?
Before he could ask, the Eight Trigrams design on the divine deer’s forehead suddenly detached.
Only then did he finally see that it was not an Eight Trigrams design at all, but a disk.
A disk of unfathomable mystery!
The divine deer’s body transformed into a stream of blue smoke and shot into the disk.
The disk immediately shrank.
In the blink of an eye, it was no larger than a fingernail.
Su Yizhao suddenly understood.
Damn it!
Was it going to crawl back into his chest again?
Sure enough, the disk shot toward him.
He instinctively raised a hand to block it.
But the disk instantly veered toward his forehead.
It moved so quickly that he had no time to react.
He felt a chill against his forehead, and then the disk vanished without a trace.
Su Yizhao was stunned.
He touched his forehead with his right hand.
There was not even a wound.
He let out a sigh of relief, but then suddenly shouted, “Give me back my cultivation art!”
“Divine deer?”
“Deer Lord?”
Su Yizhao spun around and searched in every direction, confirming that the disk had indeed disappeared.
He immediately began cursing.
“Thief!”
“Bandit!”
Suddenly, a voice rang out in his mind.
“You little brat! How dare you curse me?”
Su Yizhao’s entire body shuddered.
