To all the friends who have journeyed alongside me.
To all my friends who have accompanied me on this journey:
Greetings to you all!
One month ago today, I wrote the first word of this book on the Motie Chinese website. I have witnessed the very beginning of this story—from the first comment, the first long review, the first donation, the first fan, and the first bookmark. Writing stories can actually be quite a monotonous task; it is precisely because of your constant encouragement and support that this book has climbed step by step to the top of the click rankings and the new book charts. It is not that my story is written exceptionally well, but rather that each and every vote you cast has lifted this book to where it is. I seem to have grown accustomed to saying thank you to everyone, but on this one-month anniversary of the book’s launch, I truly want to say to all my loyal friends: thank you!
Providing five updates a day is not because I am particularly diligent; the first volume of this book had a draft written in the third person, which many of you may have already read in advance. When I was writing this book about the alchemist, friends would often ask me when new chapters would be released. After seven days of revisions, new chapters will be published on Motie. (I have lost count of how many spoiler-filled comments I have had to delete—my apologies to those who left them.)
When I started publishing on Motie, I was so worried that spoilers would ruin the readability of the story that I have not had a moment of peace this past month. I even found myself waking up in the middle of the night to check if any spoilers had been posted. Today, I can finally breathe a sigh of relief. The chapters updated on Motie in seven days' time will be exclusive to this site and will not be found anywhere else.
=========================Spoilers=========================
Qin Yishou: His identity has not been mentioned in the previous text; apart from a few brief strokes at the beginning, I have not wasted much ink on him. In the new chapters, Qin Yishou will begin to appear, and you will all gradually learn about his identity, background, and abilities. (Please, stop guessing that he is Qin Shi Huang!)
Yue Qianling: I believe she is a character who is not particularly well-liked—haughty, brainless, headstrong... It seems that none of the traits a heroine should possess can be found in her. From her first appearance until now, everything has gone smoothly for her; coming from a wealthy family and being pampered since childhood, it would be far-fetched to expect her to be reserved, introverted, or quiet. However, this story has only just begun. She has not yet experienced setbacks or hardships, and in the new chapters, I believe you will see a Qianling who is gradually growing and maturing.
"Those Years I Was an Alchemist," written for all the friends who have walked this path with me, is currently being updated. Please wait a moment.
