A destructive force thundered from two directions.
Gong Juechen’s eyes widened, his mouth agape in shock. “Is this the power of a two-star quasi-king? It’s… it’s terrifying!”
“Ah…”
Zhang Tianling was similarly dumbfounded, speechless. The strength of a two-star quasi-king was far beyond what they could withstand.
“So… so powerful. Can Luffy manage this?”
He Xueqi’s heart pounded as she witnessed the attack. It was overwhelming, devastating—she shuddered, breath caught in her throat. Life and death hung in the balance.
“He should be fine, he should be okay, he won’t die. He’s really strong,” Ma Xiaoqian said, her hands clenched so tightly that her knuckles turned white, filled with worry.
The night sky was dark, heavy with clouds, obscuring everything beyond ten meters. The rain poured down relentlessly.
In the distance, lightning flashed and thunder rumbled.
Luffy, hands behind his back, suddenly moved. A sword appeared in his hand—a dark wooden blade raised high toward the sky.
Above, the clouds twisted into a vortex. Lightning crackled and thunder roared.
Those few onlookers, along with the two great demons, lifted their heads to the sky in terror.
“Impossible!”
The Millennium Tree Demon froze for a moment, staring at the dreadful spectacle overhead, utterly shocked.
“No way…”
The White Bone Lady was equally stunned, her face a mask of confusion multiplied a thousandfold.
“To think he could summon heavenly lightning? Am I dreaming? Lightning is lethal to demons. Run!”
“Yes, run!” The Millennium Tree Demon spun around and fled. There was no way to fight this—he had never encountered such a terrifying force before.
The two two-star quasi-demon kings fled faster than rabbits.
“Uh…” Gong Juechen was dumbfounded. Those two, who had been so confident, arrogant, and haughty moments ago, were running away so quickly?
“Uh, uh…” He Xueqi was equally stunned. They were fleeing incredibly fast.
“Uh, uh, uh…” Zhang Tianling was speechless, completely unprepared for their swift retreat.

“Uh, uh, uh, uh…” Ma Xiaoqian was utterly dumbfounded. She never expected the powerful White Bone Lady and Millennium Tree Demon to run away so silently.
“Boom…”
Two bolts of lightning reflected from Luffy’s Thousand Thunder Sword toward those two two-star quasi-kings. No matter how fast they ran, lightning traveled at the speed of light.
“Sizzle…”
The White Bone Lady was struck directly, smoke rising from her body as her hair stood on end. She collapsed, convulsing violently. Heavenly lightning was a natural bane to demons, and with Luffy’s current strength, even a single strike would severely injure them.
“Ahhh…” The Millennium Tree Demon screamed in agony, rolling on the ground, emitting smoke as if being slaughtered.
Luffy sheathed the Thousand Thunder Sword and landed on the ground. The vines and sword energy vanished.
He approached the two demons, intent on ending their lives and extracting their crystal cores.
“Clap, clap…” He stepped forward deliberately.
Standing before the two two-star quasi-demon kings, their bodies scorched and smoldering.
Gong Juechen, He Xueqi, Ma Xiaoqian, and Zhang Tianling followed cautiously but kept their distance, fearing an ambush.
“You finally have your comeuppance,” Gong Juechen said coldly from the side, his tone arrogant.
“You’re asking for death,” the White Bone Lady snarled furiously.
Blue-white flames ignited in Luffy’s palm, ready to incinerate them.
The White Bone Lady and the Millennium Tree Demon’s faces lit up with terror as the flames illuminated them. Their chances of surviving the night here were slim.
“Die,” Luffy said calmly.
The flames surged toward them.
Suddenly—
An unexpected change—
Seven shadows flew from behind, pinning down Luffy and the others’ shadows, dragging the White Bone Lady and Millennium Tree Demon toward a ruined temple nearby.
“Ahhh…” The two demons screamed desperately, but to no avail. They were dragged away.
A statue—not just any statue, but a three-headed, six-armed evil god—appeared not far off. Beside it emerged a shadow emitting an eerie laugh.
“Hehe… you fought wonderfully. Thank you for freeing me. After three thousand years, I finally see the light of day again. My power is drained, but with two great demons to feed on, I should recover one percent of my strength.”
“Ahhh… who are you? No, no…”
The White Bone Lady and Millennium Tree Demon were swallowed by the shadow, their screams fading quickly. The shadow grew larger, taking human form and radiating ancient, malevolent energy.
“Ah, much better!”
The humanoid shadow wore an ancient, dark green robe and stood before the evil god statue.
“Huh, this little White Bone Spirit actually carries a dragon bone. I must have underestimated her. Not bad, not bad. She’ll make excellent sustenance.”

“Rustle…” A shadow dragged Ma Xiaoqian forward slowly, deliberately.
“Oh, that little guy’s flames are pretty scary, but those I’ve pinned down really can’t move,” the man said confidently, shrugging.
“Boom!” Suddenly, Luffy’s dragon aura exploded. The first and second levels of the Dragon Emperor’s Dominance technique flared, shattering the shadow restraining him with tremendous force.
“Whoosh!” He spun sharply and threw a punch at the shadow heading toward Ma Xiaoqian.
“Boom!” The ground erupted into a huge crater. In an instant, all the shadows vanished. Ma Xiaoqian, Gong Juechen, and the others could move again.
“What the hell… how can this be so bizarre?” Gong Juechen turned to the dark green-robed man beside the evil god statue. His face was hidden, water dripping from his body.
“Interesting. It’s the first time I’ve seen someone with such explosive power, capable of instantaneously unleashing ten times his strength. Quite surprising.”
The man in the dark green robe stared coldly at Luffy, his eyes gleaming as if shooting beams of light.
“You remind me of someone. His surname was Lu… what was it again? So long ago, I can’t recall. You may leave, but this little girl must stay with me. Dragon bone is a great tonic—devouring it will make me incredibly powerful.”
“Heh… do you think I’ll let you take her?”
Luffy pulled Ma Xiaoqian behind him. It turned out she carried dragon bone—no wonder the White Bone Lady and Millennium Tree Demon treated her differently.
“You little brat, you’re so confident. You think your strength at over eight thousand times a normal person’s can defeat me? Let me tell you a fact: I have thirteen thousand times the strength. Can you beat me?”
The man in green said casually, shrugging.
“How will I know if I don’t try?”
Luffy replied earnestly.
