"Oh, you saved me? That’s incredible! But what about the Jiuzhou District? Will anything happen to that place since we’re here?" Qin Bailing asked, munching on fish and bubbling over with questions like a curious child.

"Oh, of course nothing is happening there, though I hear trouble is brewing," Lu Fei said, taking a bite of his roasted fish. It tasted quite good.

"What do you mean, 'trouble is brewing'? You have a satellite phone—do you know what’s going on over there?" Qin Bailing asked, looking worried.

"I certainly do. Li Chaodan took all the credit for our achievements; quite bold of him. The news coming from there is that an Eighth-Rank Zombie King has emerged in the Jiuzhou Safe Zone. It even recruited an Eighth-Rank Shark King from the ocean to help, swearing to wipe out the Jiuzhou Safe Zone," Lu Fei said earnestly. That was the information transmitted back by his clone. The clone hadn’t grown stronger as he did; it seemed he would have to reabsorb it and manifest it again to make it as powerful as he was now.

"Then we should hurry back!" Qin Bailing said, looking extremely anxious.

"It’s fine. My clone is over there, so it won’t fall for a while." Lu Fei smiled and continued eating his fish. "Your health is what matters. Take this medicine." He handed her a healing pill.

"Your clone? You aren't lying to me, are you? You were only at the Third..." Qin Bailing was about to say that Lu Fei was only Third-Rank, but then she paused. How was it that she couldn't sense his strength now? Could he have become so powerful that even she couldn't gauge his level? That couldn't be right. "What is your current strength?"

"I am currently at the Seventh-Rank Legendary level," Lu Fei said confidently. He didn't want to lie to Qin Bailing, so he told her directly.

"You're that strong now?" Qin Bailing’s beautiful eyes widened as she stared intently at him. "You wouldn't lie to me, would you? Be careful, or I'll get angry."

"I'm so scared. Go ahead, show me your anger," Lu Fei teased, pretending to be terrified. It was a bit pathetic.

"Haha... I'm just kidding. But how are we supposed to get back from here, and what date is it?" Qin Bailing asked curiously.

"It’s July 15th, the Ghost Festival," Lu Fei said, still eating.

"What? You must have the date wrong, right? It’s only been three days since I passed out. Did you fly here?" Qin Bailing asked, looking at him in disbelief.

"That's right, I flew here. And to save you, I went through so many miraculous things—I even went to the Underworld. Impressive, right? Your best friend is a pretty good friend, isn't he?"

Lu Fei tossed the fish bones aside and pulled out three sheets of paper, handing two to Qin Bailing.

Qin Bailing stood there, stunned by his words. She didn't even take the paper he offered. Five seconds later, she turned and hugged him. "Whether what you said is true or not, I still have to thank you. Because you saved me. Thank you, my best, best friend."

The two held each other in an embrace. Lu Fei reached out and hugged her back tightly, a joyful smile blooming on his face. No matter what you do, as long as it is good, there is always a reward; and of course, for bad deeds, there is always retribution. It’s that simple.

Lu Fei loved Qin Bailing deeply, though she didn't know it. She didn't know that he had risked life and death just for her. She was deeply moved, wondering how he had managed to bring her back to life.

A while later, Qin Bailing pulled away, took the paper he had handed her to wipe her mouth, and headed toward the small stream. "I'm going to take a bath, don't you dare peek. Do you have any clothes? I don't have any."

"Of course I do. I know you like blue, so I brought a blue one." Lu Fei handed her a dress.

"How did you have a dress?" Qin Bailing looked at him suspiciously.

"I prepared it before I came, of course. I knew you would need to change." Lu Fei smiled.

"You really are very thoughtful," Qin Bailing said, taking the dress and walking away.

Lu Fei walked a distance off to keep watch, ensuring no one would peek. The colorful forest was beautiful; a light breeze blew, and fallen leaves danced in the air like a fairyland. It was truly stunning.

"Ding! Today's red envelopes have refreshed. Quantity: 3. Range: within 1,000 meters. Time limit: 30 minutes. Host, please collect the red envelopes within the allotted time, or they will disappear."

"The red envelopes are back. Damn it, why did it take so long?" Lu Fei communicated with the system, speechless.

"Ding! This system cares for its host most of all. Since the host has had such a stressful few days, the system did not issue any red envelope tasks."

"You're certainly considerate," Lu Fei muttered, activating his Reincarnation Heavenly Eyes. He spotted a red envelope not far away, hanging from a tree, and walked over to tap it.

Is this too easy?

"Ding! Red envelope opening. It will take 15 seconds. Countdown: 15, 14, 13..."

"Ding! Red envelope opened successfully. Congratulations, Host, you have received ten 'Mind-Control Charms,' which have been sent to your temporary inventory."

"'Mind-Control Charms'?" Lu Fei checked the item. "Mind-Control Charm: Allows the host to temporarily control the body of a person within 30 meters. The effect lasts for 15 minutes."

"That's a useful effect. Not bad at all." Lu Fei stored them in his spatial ring and turned to find the second one, which was perched at the very top of a tree. He leaped up, landed on the treetop, and tapped it.

"Ding! Red envelope opening. Countdown: 15, 14, 13..."

"Ding! Red envelope opened successfully. Congratulations, Host, you have received three 'Divine Movement Charms,' sent to your temporary inventory."

"'Divine Movement Charms.' Nice, nice." Lu Fei nodded. With these, returning to the Jiuzhou Safe Zone would be much faster.

He continued to search for the third red envelope. After looking everywhere without success, he suddenly saw it—it was in Qin Bailing’s mouth. This red envelope system certainly knew how to create opportunities; it was quite mischievous.

He watched as Qin Bailing walked back after her bath, wearing the blue dress. Her hair was still damp, and she looked as fresh and beautiful as a lotus flower rising from the water. Her skin was glowing, and her injuries were almost fully recovered.

Lu Fei walked up to her. "You are truly beautiful. I can't help but want to kiss you."

"Tsk, you dare try?" Qin Bailing glared at him.

"Then I'll try!" Lu Fei leaned in, placed one hand behind her head, pulled her into an embrace with the other, and kissed her, his tongue swirling against hers. It was cool and sweet, like jelly.

Qin Bailing’s eyes went wide. She hadn't expected him to actually go through with it, and so boldly at that.
