Chapter 29: Increasing Manpower a Hundredfold in One Afternoon [First Update]
“Whoosh…”
A whirlwind surged toward the Tier Three Savage Tiger.
“Crack, crack…”
Countless sharp wooden spikes shot up from the ground, stabbing at the Tier Three Savage Tiger above.
“Boom, boom…”
A massive earthen blade, conjured by Earth-Five, came crashing down toward the beast.
Rumbling filled the air as the Tier Three Savage Tiger roared, its massive body—like a small mountain—slowly toppling over.
From above, Silver-Eight descended, a silver gun materializing in his hand. He fired at the enormous beast.
In a flash, the wounded beast lashed out, its long tail whipping toward Silver-Eight.
Bang!
Silver-Eight was struck at the waist, flung through the air like a cannonball. He crashed through countless trees before finally coming to a stop, rolling on the ground as blood welled up in his throat and spewed from his mouth.
At that moment, the Tier Three Savage Tiger unleashed a torrent of flames from its jaws, engulfing Wood-Six and Wind-Seven.
“Ah!”
The two were swallowed by fire.
Master Chen’s eyes turned cold as he dashed toward the beast, his fist crashing down in a thunderous blow.
With a deafening thud, the mountain-like beast let out a final roar—not of fire this time, but of blood—as it collapsed onto the ground, convulsing.
“Thank you, Master Chen!”
Wood-Six and Wind-Seven were filled with gratitude. If not for Master Chen, they would likely have been gravely injured.
“No need for thanks. This brute was merely in its death throes—a single punch was enough,” Master Chen replied, hands clasped behind his back as he walked to the side.
Luffy was astonished. The old man’s martial prowess was truly terrifying. Luffy immediately set his sights on him: This guy is too dangerous. If a fight breaks out, it’ll be hard to deal with him. I’d better take him out first, see how arrogant he is then.
“Everyone, get ready,” Luffy reminded the group.
In the next instant, Luffy pulled the trigger.
A muffled thud—a silenced supercharged shot—hurtled toward Master Chen.
Meanwhile, Zeng Hongseng took aim at Ice, the voluptuous woman.
The others targeted the remaining members.
Soft thuds echoed through the forest.
In the blink of an eye, Master Chen’s heart was pierced by Luffy’s shot.
“Ugh…”
Master Chen’s eyes widened, his mouth agape as he toppled backward, blood spurting from his chest.
With a final snap, Master Chen collapsed among the fallen leaves.
Meanwhile, Ice’s head was blown open by a particle bullet—her eyes glazed over in shock before she fell.
Leaves drifted down, two mighty warriors slain in an instant.
The others had barely processed what was happening before they, too, were shot. Wood-Six’s leg was blown apart—bones shattered, he screamed and writhed on the ground, drenched in cold sweat, his face contorted in agony.
Earth-Five’s hand was blasted to pieces, blood spraying across his face as the powerful particle energy shattered his bones.
His screams echoed like a slaughtered pig as he collapsed.
Next was Wind-Seven, shot in the head and killed instantly—his skull exploded, brain matter scattering.
Only Silver-Eight, who hadn’t been targeted, managed to escape. Not even knowing who the enemy was, he fled in terror, not daring to look back.
He never imagined his companions would be annihilated so swiftly and inexplicably.
In the span of a breath, everyone was dead. It was horrifying.
All he could do was fly away, too terrified to glance behind him.
The terror was overwhelming.
Luffy stepped out from behind a tree, a cold smile on his lips. Against enemies, one must not show mercy—wiping them out was always the best option.
He strode toward the spoils: the Tier Three Savage Tiger.
Zeng Hongseng, cradling his particle sniper rifle, followed close behind. He hadn’t expected the weapon to be so powerful, capable of eliminating such formidable foes with a single shot.
The others, delighted, followed after.
They reached the huge beast and the corpses strewn about, talking and laughing.
“Burn their bodies,” Luffy ordered.
He produced a barrel of gasoline and handed it to Ma Bi.
Ma Bi led the others in searching the bodies for valuables, finding several weapons and over a dozen bottles of Body-Tempering Elixir.
“Boss, found some good stuff,” Ma Bi immediately reported.
“Whoever finds it, keeps it,” Luffy said coolly.
Then he turned to the mountain-like Savage Tiger.
“Dig out the crystal core, roast the meat, and let’s eat our fill before we set out again,” Luffy said with a smile.
“Yes, sir,” Zeng Hongseng nodded, the others equally pleased.
Zeng Hongseng used the Scarlet Flame Sword to carve out the Tier Three crystal core and handed it to Luffy. “Boss, here’s the core.”
“Good. Skin it, clean it well before roasting,” Luffy replied, sitting to the side as he accepted the core. The system absorbed it instantly—it was worth three thousand regular cores, quite a haul.
After the Tier Three Savage Tiger’s belly was cut open, Luffy noticed its gallbladder radiated a powerful energy, clearly a rare treasure.
“System, what’s the effect of this gallbladder?” Luffy immediately asked, holding it up.
“This type of gallbladder is extremely rare and possesses miraculous power. Consuming it will increase your physical strength a hundredfold—far beyond any Dragon Blood Elixir. However, it cannot be used by anyone above Tier Four.”
“That incredible?” Luffy was amazed. No wonder so many people had risked everything to take down the Tier Three Savage Tiger—their true aim was the gallbladder. Too bad for them, he had gotten it instead. The mastermind behind this would surely be furious, especially since all his underlings had been wiped out, likely without realizing who was responsible.
The system was never wrong.
Without further hesitation, Luffy swallowed the gallbladder—such a treasure couldn’t be wasted.
The moment he did, a surge of power coursed through his limbs, indescribably pleasant, as if he were ascending to immortality.
Luffy circulated the Dragon Emperor’s Dominance Technique, his entire being exuding a faint dragon aura, radiating a sacred presence.
Zeng Hongseng, seeing his leader cultivating beside him, hurried over to stand guard. No matter what danger or mishap occurred, he would defend Luffy with all his strength, demonstrating his loyalty—just as Luffy had done for them.
In this way, half a day passed before Luffy awoke, his strength rising from two hundred times human capacity to three hundred times in just a few hours.
The legendary limit for Tier One was a hundredfold human strength; for Tier Two, three hundredfold; for Tier Three, five hundredfold, and so on.
Luffy felt power surging through his body, exhilaration flooding his senses.
He stood, struck forward with a single punch, and a tree toppled to the ground—a light blow, yet so exaggerated.
Luffy chuckled, noting Zeng Hongseng’s shock.
“Why are you all staring at me? Come on, eat the roast meat,” Luffy laughed, joining the others. The meat had already been roasted and kept warm; no one had eaten yet, all waiting for him.
He tore off a chunk and began to eat.
“Woof woof…”
At that moment, the Divine Beast Teddy trotted over, and Little Dragon Girl led the young girl to join them.
They all ate together.
“Ding! Today’s red packets have refreshed. Number: 3. Area: within a radius of 100 meters. Complete within half an hour or they will disappear.”
