Chapter 6: The Dragon Emperor’s Dominating Arts
Boom—
The iron gate was blasted open by Luffy’s kick, drawing everyone’s attention.
“Damn it, who dares ruin my fun!”
An enraged man shouted, looking up. The other boys turned too. When they saw a youth clad in dark silver armor entering, followed by several others, they sneered dismissively.
“Kid, you’d best get lost and mind your own business, or you’ll end up like those zombies—sprawled on the floor.” The ringleader, a youth named Li Jianren, glared at Luffy, full of arrogance.
Luffy only chuckled coldly, “People like you aren’t worth my words.”
With a single hand gripping his sword, Luffy charged. The thugs, thinking Luffy’s group was small, remained cocky—until the rest of Luffy’s people appeared, completely surrounding them. Li Jianren was so frightened his bravado evaporated; he collapsed to his knees in terror.
“Boss, we were wrong!” The others knelt too. They had never expected to be faced with so many fully armed people; they stood no chance. All that was left was to beg for mercy.
A desperate girl watched as a handsome youth, sword in hand, rushed forward and decapitated the fiend. Blood spattered as the head flew across the room.
The faces of the culprits turned deathly pale; never had they imagined such a person would appear. Facing death, all hubris faded.
Without a change in expression, Luffy cut them down one by one, blood spraying everywhere. He didn’t care whether they were human or zombie—they seemed more vile than the undead. In this apocalypse, they had preyed upon their own classmates.
Zeng Hongsen’s eyes widened in shock at his leader’s ferocity—Luffy had stormed in and slain over a dozen boys without so much as a flicker of emotion.
When it was done, Luffy turned to look at the female classmates, especially the bespectacled teacher, scantily clad, with an alluring, pitiable air. No wonder Li Jianren had doted on her—she was strikingly beautiful.
Her figure was stunning, her waist slender, her chest at least a D-cup. But Luffy had no interest in women already played with; he wanted only the most beautiful, untouched.
“Those beasts,” Zeng Hongsen cursed furiously. He immediately called the girls over to help the others get dressed.
Once they were clothed, Luffy summoned his men to extract the zombie crystals from the corpses.
Then, Luffy approached the rescued girls. “If you want to live, you can come with us. The condition is that you fight zombies alongside us. I can give you weapons and strength—as long as you give me the crystals from the zombies’ heads,” he said seriously. “Now isn’t the time for tears. Survival is what matters. If you’d rather die, jump out the window—I won’t stop you.”
“I... I don’t want to die. I want to come with you,” one girl said timidly.
“Good, then come,” Luffy replied, then ignored them. Whether they lived or died meant nothing to him; he cared only for those who served his purpose.
He strode toward another classroom, Zeng Hongsen trailing behind.
Morning sunlight filtered through thick leaves onto Luffy’s face, making him look handsome and resolute.
“You’re brave,” Zeng Hongsen said as he caught up. “I could never have killed those beasts.”
“You kill enough zombies, you become numb,” Luffy replied, his hand trembling slightly. Though it was only his second time killing people—albeit villains—he still felt a trace of discomfort. Yet their depravity had left him no choice.
Luffy entered another classroom and spotted a red envelope. There were no survivors inside, only zombies. He ordered his men to clear them out, then approached the envelope.
He tapped it.
“Ding. Red envelope opening, ten seconds required.”
“Ding. Congratulations, host. Red envelope opened. You have received a message.”
Luffy hadn’t expected just a message. With a thought, a temporary storage screen appeared before his eyes, and he opened the message.
A flood of information surged into his mind.
“A normal person who evolves to the first rank has thirty times normal human strength. The host, with unlimited Dragon Blood Elixirs, can evolve to the legendary maximum of one hundred times human strength at the first rank.”
Luffy was astonished. He hadn’t expected this kind of guidance from a red envelope. And since he was using Dragon Blood Elixirs, did that mean he was destined to evolve in a dragon’s direction?
With this realization, he stood and led his team to finish clearing the floor of zombies, then headed for the fifth floor.
Luffy and his group cleansed the fifth floor of zombies, rescuing six people: two female teachers, a male teacher, and three students. The rest had become zombies and were eliminated.
Once the fifth floor was secure, they descended to the second floor. There, Luffy spotted a red envelope—on the anus of a female zombie. The location was... awkward, to say the least. How was he supposed to retrieve it? If someone saw, they might think he had some peculiar fetish. The thought left him speechless.
He charged forward and was the first to dispatch the zombie. He dug out her crystal and watched as his comrades grew more adept at fighting the undead, quickly clearing the classroom before moving on.
Only when the others had left did Luffy tap the red envelope on the female zombie’s body.
This envelope was enormous—the largest he’d ever seen.
“Ding. Red envelope opening, fifteen seconds required. 15, 14, 13...”
It was nearly ready.
Just then, Zeng Hongsen happened to walk by. Luffy quickly moved the corpse behind him, but Zeng Hongsen still caught a glimpse.
“Uh... Boss, why’s your hand on the zombie’s... you’re not—?” He trailed off in embarrassment.
“Get lost—what nonsense are you imagining?” Luffy retorted, relieved as the envelope opened.
“Ding. Red envelope opened. Congratulations, host, you have obtained the first level of the Dragon Emperor’s Domination Technique. It has been delivered to your temporary storage.”
Delighted, Luffy nearly leapt for joy at receiving such a powerful skill.
Dragon Emperor’s Domination Technique—the name alone was awe-inspiring.
Luffy ignored Zeng Hongsen, who now seemed to suspect him of some morbid obsession, and opened his storage to select the technique.
“Ding. Learn now?”
Of course Luffy chose yes.
Suddenly, a flood of profound, esoteric knowledge rushed into his mind, and he sensed that the Dragon Emperor’s Domination Technique was not only powerful but filled with countless wonders. Perhaps because he had unlocked it via a red envelope, he mastered it instantly.
